The only downside was that the soundproofing wasn’t the best; we could hear our neighbours and I imagine they could hear us as well. That said, check-in and check-out were smooth, and it was a great stay in a lovely room.

The renovated room and bathroom were lovely — I really liked the colour theme and funky décor, and the contrast of colours worked beautifully. The beds were comfortable, everything was nice and clean, and overall it felt fresh and welcoming.

The aircon wouldn’t heat just kept blowing cold air. The window in the shower can’t be closed so the bathroom is always freezing.

Great location. The bed was superb. The unit was not totally upgraded (bathroom etc) but was very clean. We did not have a heat pump but the heater was quite adequate.

Motel needs some maintenance done. Entrance to motel from Balmoral Rd just past reception has a big bump from the roots of trees. it's the size of a speed bump. The entrance from Penrhyn Rd had a huge puddle of water halfway down the driveway it was deep enough to touch the rim of my tires. There aren't many parking spaces. 2 entranceways and one exit look out when exiting. I have a 7-seater SUV, so it was a tight turn getting around the building when leaving. Our first night, we were exhausted and were rudely woken early next morning by some guys using a chainsaw and mulcher at the motel cause branches were down. There was no courtesy call or just a heads up from reception about work needing to be done right outside our room. We would have planned to get out of the motel earlier in the morning by changing our activities for the kids that day. I had to call reception and ask how long they would be.

The location was good. Price was good for my family of 6 for 2 nights. Apart from our first morning starting with noisy machines, it was a comfortable bed and pillow to sleep on. I would stay again.

The Smart TV was difficult to operate. Also, could do with an armchair in the room when watching TV or reading.

This was great value for money and great location, only 5 mins drive to the city. It had good kitchenette and comfortable bed.

Due to renovations, there was an issue with the hot and cold water 'mix' in the shower. But it was dealt with swiftly by staff.

The staff are friendly, welcoming and took care of minor issues straight away. They were able to accommodate my 6 moko and I easily. The room was excellent and enough space for us all to be in without getting in one another's way. They have a pool and spa which kept the moko occupied-however the pool is definitely for Summer usage. Would stay there again.

The bathroom facilities were rudimentary with the wash basin in a very awkward spot. Bathroom probably could do with a complete renovation. Noisy neighbours at various times, and a rattly sliding door to the back area. Stove originally not working but staff were prompt in getting it functional. Parking was difficult as workers SUV's took up a lot of room when trying to drive in or out of parking spot. I would have to say my wife would not enjoy the stay at least in the room I was given because of the bathroom limitations and utility breakdowns.

Location was fantastic, very central to where I needed to be visiting. There was no breakfast? Staff were most helpful especially me arriving late and getting access to my room. Staff also helpful in showing me how to use the laundry. In fact staff help was a major plus for staying here.

The bright light in the court yard shone through the glass door. It was very hard to get a decent shower temperature, it was either too hot or too cold. The shower pressure was also very weak.
