How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Really spacious and well thought out with lots of extra touches that we really appreciated. Karen went out of her way to be accommodating with our toddler and allowed a last minute late checkout. The hot tub under the stars was amazing. Spotless with a really comfortable bed and linen. Would definitely recommend!

Someone before us had removed all the TV cords and it took ages to fix the problem. Owner was amazing trying to help fix it. I finally went online and was able to solve the problem. No more problems after that,... it was a restful and relaxing few days.
Privacy and great to have spa. Facilities great with lots of special touches.

We felt special the moment we moved in. The coffee machine was all ready to go, milk in the fridge, continental breakfast waiting, chocolate biscuits, chippies and the lovely spa too. The views are beautiful as is the decor. A lovely getaway location for a few days.

Lovely little place. Everything really well set up. Very quiet at night. An easy drive to the beach and estuary. Large supermarket only ten minutes away too. Thanks for the snacks and lovely toiletries. We were very lucky with the weather so went to the beach every day. We would happily stay again.

Everything was perfect.
Very good instructions given to get key from lockbox, however host was there to greet us and ensure everything was ok anyway. What an amazing place! Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated. Many extras, including lovely supplies for breakfast - vogals toast, cereal, tinned peaches, biscuits... Couldn't have asked for better. Good supply of soap, hand lotion, shampoo & conditioner. Dish draw for dirty dishes. AND a spa pool to use to. Lovely view of the mountains. Another tip - try the coconut Margaritas at Gringas - amazing!

As it was very windy one night we had the bathroom vent flap banging in the night keeping us awake. Maybe this could have something soft attached to it to lessen the noise.
Very fresh, new, clean and comfortable accommodation with a great kitchen and continental breakfast provided.

There is nothing to not like.
The accommodation had all the lovely little extras. Extra towels,tea,plunger coffee and nespreso, herbal teas etc. Lovely bathroom with all eco products Lovely continental breakfast. Well equipped little kitchen, very homely. The outdoor spa with great views. Lovely, highly recommend and would love to come back and stay.
