The bed base went to the floor so unable to walk beside it to bed. There was no compendium explaining operation of hot plates and general information. Bedroom power point needs attention as it caused problems when connecting sleep machine.

The view was lovely. Light and airy villa. Kitchen well stocked but short of "2nd drawer" utensils. The caretaker for the property provided prompt attention and very responsive to rectifying a few issues that occured.

Although the pool, spa and restaurant were a big draw card for us choosing this accommodation (on the understanding there’s an extra fee)- these were currently being renovated, and the restaurant is only open thurs- Sunday. The unit is also very small about 62m2 so felt very tight for 4 people. In addition, several cupboards were locked so storage was extremely limited and made the unit feel even smaller. Eg, in the kitchen the only place to put food was the fridge, no pantry space due to extra unnecessary items. The cleanliness was average, ie not clean behind doors, mould in bathroom etc.

The location was beautiful within walking distance to palm beach. The deck overlooked the beach and on a summers day would have been very nice. The linen and pillows were high quality, and the unit was stylish designed.

Some steep hills, pool is a bit cold

The chalet is clean and well designed with all you need for a break, great for 2 adults and 2 kids, big balcony with outside seating and nice view. Although the chalet is privately owned and not run by Waiheke Island resort the staff were very friendly and helpful. Waiheke Island resort itself is a great place with a nice restaurant and bar area and a pool and pool bar, definitely recommended as a good base to come back to after wine tasting around beautiful Waiheke Island.

All the dust and dirt on the floor, stains on the couch, there was food on the carpet and ants were all over it, bathroom was filthy shower mouldy, toilet bowl filthy, there was a tub of shampoo and body wash but was just on the shower floor, just unhygienic and not great for older guests.. just an acc claims waiting to happen, there was instant coffee but no milk in the bridge. Ceiling fan had so much dust gathered I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned, so bad for children with allergies.

Fantastic location and view. The property itself felt quite private, even though it was nestled between othe similar villas. Close to Palm beach, less than a 10 minute walk. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Option to use resort facilities (at a small cost) was a bonus, and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the resort during our stay, with views over the pool and out to the beach. Would stay again.

The space was tiny and cramped, the pool was not clean (hairs floating in it, dishes and rubbish around the outside along deck chairs), the reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful and the space was overpriced for what it was. Check in was easy and cleaning staff were friendly, location and views were nice.
