Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The sauna/spa was 8-8pm. It would've been nice for business travellers to have the option to access it either earlier in the morning or later at night. My colleague's room has the ranch slider unlocked - she was in the room alone so that was slightly concerning in terms of security.
Clean & tidy rooms, mine had a spa bath which is a nice bonus for me, reception was very friendly & helpful

Noise from the corridor with doors opening and closing. They should install an inner door within the rooms to block corridor noise off.

Too close to a busy road and you can hear the road noise at night. Not ideal. Also can hear people in the stairwell. Need better sound proofing.

More selection of herbal teas. Needed a sharp knife or scissors. Is on a corner beside busy road.
Location to Takapuna shopping centre is fantastic. Only a 10 minute walk. Staff were very friendly & helpful

Other people's (approx 3) parking skills weren't that great making it hard to access in and out of vehicle.

The noise outside when other customer are about to check out , but otherwise fine, I could have use earplug
I like the bathroom and toilet , it’s huge … no curtain which I consider source of dirt/ bacteria

The big issue i had was being by an internal door in the corridor which was very loud when closed by other guests. Other than that there is not much else to say
Great location and the bathroom (shower) was very nice. The brownie on arrival was also lovely. All in all a nice little place to stay at

Extra blankets in winter, one on the bed and one extra in the cupboard really isn't enough. Bed was positioned right next to door. Too much light coming under. Maybe some dimmer night light for access areas would be better.

Our unit was next to a busy road, so there was a bit of traffic noise.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Loved the extra touch of brownie on arrival! Short walk to the beach for an evening walk. Short drive to Takapuna for shops & restaurants. Very roomy unit, convenient free parking.

It would be nice if there were at least basic breakfast facilities. Also the hotel is a little noisy, being positioned right on the main road
The room was very spacious and all facilities worked. The rooms were clean and the hotel is positioned next to a main road along the Narrow Neck peninsula. Located near the beach and not far away from Takapuna village which has a range of cafes and restaurants. Also not too far from Devonport, which has a ferry to Auckland, although the main road to Devonport is often very busy

Only recommendation for management would be to have a choice of pillows eg: soft, medium or hard - the pillows were super-soft, not our preference, it would have been fine for only one night, but we stayed for 5!
