Very cute place that has everything you need. The house is dry, warm, clean and comfortable. Michael is friendly and respectful, also flexible to add extra people with low cost. We had a great time here!

While there was a fridge and a microwave there was no cooker or hob, only a bbq outside.

Loved the location, the decor, the games and books. Our boys loved the bunk room and the sauna was a super bonus!

Couldn’t fault this place one bit. Fit 5 of us in well, was warm, comfortable and inviting. Breakfast was provided which was an added bonus, especially for hungry kids in the morning. Beautiful view of the mountain, and woke up to a nice crisp frost which we don’t see often. The host were so welcoming, and even took the kids to check out the farm animals. Thank you for having us, we haven’t come across many places like this.

The accommodation was very quiet and clean, providing a peaceful stay. It's located right next to a farm with lovely sheep nearby, which added to the charm. Books and game boards are available for slow days. The owner was very accommodating and kindly allowed us to check in early. They live nearby and were easily reachable in case we had any concerns. Highly recommended!

Liked the isolation of the location, the view of Mt Ruapehu. Bed and bathroom excellent. Sitting in the sun on the deck enjoying the provided breakfast. Very cute place to stay. Great hosts too!

We have had a first class experience. The accommodation was very comfortable, warm, clean and well equipped. It was tastefully decorated and furnished. We particularly enjoyed the continental breakfast provided and the outdoor camp cooker to make our dinner, as well as being able to sit outside on the sheltered verandah overlooking the paddock with sheep and the "star of the show" Harriet the goat! Michael is a great host, who is mindful of guests privacy but said if we needed anything we only had to ask.

Slightly quirky layout with the sink and kettle in a recess area and the lounge/dining room too small for a family of four to all sit down. (It was too cold to sit outside for breakfast, and although we could have sat around the table in the bunk room, this was away from the toaster, kettle etc). If you want to cook you need to go outside, although there is a fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities, but since we'd already planned to eat out in the evening, that was not issue. A beautiful property and exceptionally clean so for a night's stay, it was lovely.

Beautifully clean, great location for our long drive north and the sauna was a bonus. Great outdoor eating/seating area with views of Mt Ruapehu. Bread, jam, cereal and milk provided.

The setting is stunning, with a gorgeous view of Mt Ruapehu. The property is thoughtfully designed and very comfortable, and breakfast was tasty. Communication with the host was very easy. I spent a long time on the porch in the evening, watching the light changing on the mountain. Very relaxing indeed.
