Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

It was very cold the night I was there. Extra blankets would have been welcome. Lightning in the room could be better.
Very clean, comfy beds, felt safe in my room. Staff were lovely. It is an excellent location. The rooms are very tired but are under renovation. This reflected in the price.

nothing. h eroom was lartge and had basic facilities. small screen TV, but it does have all the sports channels.
Very happy. Very clean. Right next door to work. Great price $107 per night in Greenlane was very competitive..

The family group next to my unit that were foul mouthed and swearing. Thankfully they were evicted. No one wanted to hear you folks.
Location, the fact that the foul mouthed group next to my room were told to leave and not come back. Nice and quiet after that. Bathroom nice.

The hot water in the shower takes a while to turn on. If you run the sink tap though, the hot water starts coming out. But otherwise, it was fine.
It was basic but comfortable and in a good central location.

The staff were friendly, the room was dated, but clean. They are renovating and updating the rooms at the moment. Secured parking was really appreciated. Set back from the road a bit, so not lots of traffic noise. Towels and sheets were nice quality. Nice location, I'm sure it will be much better when the updating is completed.

No tea towel or dishwash. Water wasted awaiting hot water flow. Door needs flap at bottom to prevent cold air flow under door. Door n doorframe need filling n painting is unfinished. Shower tiles could have been cleaner.
Location great. Security awesome. Staff extremely helpful. Very quiet n relaxing. Great parking.

Most of the TV options didn't work. Had hoped for a few more kitchen facilities e.g. bowls or a pot/coffee plunger. The shower head clip was broken and so when I turned the shower on it sprayed everywhere!
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and nice clean facilities. Easy to access, privacy and secure parking was good too.

There was no cutlery in the room. Bowl and cups, microwave, but no utensils. Nothing to wash the one bowl with for the other guest to use. No dishwashing liquid or cloth/dish brush or teatowel. No face cloth for the shower either. Very poor lack of basic items.

Staff was lovely but... electronic key to my room stopped working halfway through my stay and I was locked out. I had to go to the bathroom urgently. Office was unattended and when I rang staff, they said they would be an hour. They told me to knock at the door of one of the emergency housing apartments and ask to use their toilet. Also, staff knocked at my door at 9am on departure day to ask when I was leaving. This is not appropriate before 10am.

A little noisey from main road.
It was clean, spacious and the staff were extremely helpful, they allowed me to leave my car in their car park whilst I was in hospital. Very generous. Thank you 😀

Just the basic appliances/eating requirements. Seating was 3 uncomfortable kitchen type chairs Some comfortable chairs should be there. The whole establishment appeared unlived in with many (I suspect) empty units having curtains drawn and usually poorly
