TV was the exception. It did not have the capacity to allow me to access my apps e.g. netflix. That was a bit disappointing.

Service was great, always helpful and followed through. People who work at this place was wonderful. The restaurant was great as the food was at a higher level plus the afternoon tea you offered too was very generous.

No place to hang 'don't service my room' card so left it standing on dining table then next day, on closed bedroom door. Staff still came in which wasn't necessary. Person upstairs noisy due to wooden floor.

Couldn't find a hot point to boil the jug near the coffee/tea unit. Bathroom is a bit tired and needs expelair to prevent wet/steamy room

Was extremely annoyed that the shower water went cold. I was having my shower late evening after the other 2 and the water was cold. Wouldnt go hot after many many tries/time. It was too late at night for me to be bothered calling for help. Had one in the morning and the water was back to hot.

Lovely furnishings. Didn't realize their was a bit of a Victorian theme or something and our boy was creeped out by the stocks and the old style door handles. Otherwise very comfortable and nice room

The first night (Friday) parking there was without any issue, the following night was a mission. Lots of cars no room for parking where you are allowed to park. There is no clear signs where or where not to park apart of the printed guide the gave you upon check in. So good luck in this one.

The breakfast is super tasty and from 1600 to 1700 you have a complementary tea or coffe with delicious muffins. The bed was super comfy too and the room very spacious. The shower with amazing pressure and nice toiletries.

We enjoyed our stay.

We arrived very late past midnight, tired and stressed from not having the the booked taxi waiting for us - so we were tremendously appreciative of the friendly welcome received by the friendly Manager there when we got to the hotel - and and got an upgrade to a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment for the first night... it was so lovely to de-stress. We enjoyed the hot chocolates each day too. Such a great bonus to have chocolates as well as the normal provision of tea and coffee. thanks a million! Thanks also for the early check in to our other rooms the next morning. we allocated 2 beautiful rooms next to each other, the following 4 nights and these had large bathtubs which we were able to enjoy a relaxing bath each night.

The shower and sink are looking a bit old

The beds are so comfortable and the pillows were just the right level of firmness. The room was warm and quiet. The heatpump was quiet and easy to operate.

This hotel was by far the best we stayed in during our trip to New Zealand. The hotel rooms are just beautiful. Fresh, clean and spacious for our family of 4. We were so warm and comfortable, and the location was still great for being able to explore Christchurch. The restaurant was wonderful too, great service and delicious food. The staff were so helpful. When we left some shoes at the hotel and had moved on to another city, they went out of their way to make sure they were posted to us in a timely way, and found a cheaper way to do this. Excellent value for money and we would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Christchurch!
