I should have booked longer.

The facilities were outstanding. The shower was a little cold in the morning due to the gas needing to be changed over but it was great. Our room was warm and comfortable.

Absolutely beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived Monika was so welcoming. Her bread was devine, along with all the condiments. Omg this place was heavenly! I really enjoyed the rustic vibes, and my husband and I enjoyed exploring around the farm! Monika is such a great, talented host who's made us feel very welcomed and at home. Also, the cat (forgive me I forgot her name!) is so lovely and friendly! We enjoyed the cuddles from her and I'm sure she's enjoyed the pets from us 😊 really lovely place, plus the breakfast, gosh, Monika bakes such delicious bread I couldn't help myself from having them again and again. We liked everything. Monica and Rolf are great hosts and brought in fresh baked bread when we arrived. Setting is lovely. The unit is very comfortable. Nice spa with robes provided. Definitely recommend this place. Only a 10 minute drive to Omokoroa.

Well, what can I say about the property and the owners, Monika & Rolph?! Swiss-Kiwi Resort is an absolute gem of a place. It was the best property we’ve stayed in on all of our travels over the years. We were so well looked after, from the fresh eggs from the chickens to the bread and desserts cooked by Monika. Nothing was too much trouble and you can tell on meeting them that they love hosting and getting to know their guests. Our room was spotless and had everything we needed. It was in a great location to explore the Bay of Plenty beaches and only 1 hr from Hobbiton and Rotorua. The gardens and hot tub were superb, which we made full use of. We feel like we have made friends for life. Thank you to Monika & Rolph for making it a Christmas we will never forget.

Leaving.

It is an idyll. Located in the hills away from any madding crowd. My single room was a lovely little cottage built by Rolf, the male host, an engineer of considerable skill. My lady host greeted me with a loaf of freshly baked bread. Her chickens visited frequently, lovely friendly birds. A private bathroom was a few metres away: nicely done too. Parking on site. Wifi worked despite the warning that it might be dodgy. Lots of breakfast items supplied. I used the gas barbecue for my dinners. Pan and tools supplied. Excellent washing machine with a 28 minute cycle. What was there not to like? I could happily spend a summer there.

The welcoming was fantastic, warm fresh baked bread awaited us with treats , and plenty of options for breakfast with homegrown fruit, fresh yogurt and a choice of cereal, also home baked bread and reassurance that if we need anything to just ask, clean and comfortable facilities

Very Comfortable. Loved the fresh bread . Requested it again and was happy to make another fresh loaf. Close to everything but far enough to feel like we were the only ones there. Lovely spa , friendly chickens . Plenty of fruit to pick off the trees. Loved every bit

What a place! The host, Monika was so welcoming, she made us a fresh loaf of bread and there were loads of home grown/made treats! The accommodation is cosy and location is so beautiful! We loved the hot tub - it was a little rainy, so not many stars to see, but you'll an have an incredible treat if you are lucky enough to have a clear night! We loved meeting the chickens and cat too!

Bathroom is detached from the property, but it’s only a few seconds walk. The bathroom is also private, and not shared which is good.

Very clean and well maintained. The property is outside of Tauranga, but relatively close to restaurants (around 10 minutes drive). Great place if you’re looking to stay away from the city
