I wish the downstairs lounge/terrace didn’t get locked up when the bar was closed. I’d planned on reading down there one afternoon only to find it had been locked up, unfortunately.

The Convent hotel was a beautiful experience. The welcome from Jay on arrival, easy transition to my room which was amazing. The, comfy bed, best nights sleep! Great bathroom, views and natural light. The simplicity, with luxuary, and the history of this beautiful building made the stay memorable. Thank you for having me, I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend.

It is a converted convent, so our room was rather tight! I think we had one of the smallest rooms, but the others we saw were more spacious.

This is a converted convent where the history of the building is evident even though the level of comfort far exceeds what was originally there. It was fun to speculate about the rooms and the former occupants. The artwork is eclectic with religious items mixed along with south Asian influences, a fun mixture and certainly added to the ambience.

Such a unique place to stay. It really was a convent many years ago. They have kept the charm of this lovely old building. With a modern twist on the amenties. Bonus addition is the onsite restaurant Ada. Had an expectional meal there, would love come back next time we stay in the area.

Its perfect for us as a romantic getaway or when we have something on in the city as we live outskirts of Auckland. we loved it - and the ADA resto is fabulous. Wed def recommend and we will be staying many more times.

We stayed on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy and was a little on the noisey side until around 11pm.

The decor in the entire hotel is beautiful! We both loved the nods to the convent. The room was small but well appointed. The reception staff were friendly, professional and informative.

We loved our stay at The Convent Hotel! The staff were fantastic - we were given an extra key, a vase for our flowers and a fascinating talk about the hotel's history. The rooms were very clean. The beds and pillows were super comfy. Our accommodation was beautiful and unique. This hotel has a lovely peaceful vibe - it even smells beautiful (all the woodwork). Our stay was such an enjoyable mid-winter treat. We will be back!

The rooms have very high ceilings and there was only a small wall heater in the room, which did not heat the room sufficiently. It was a particularly cold winter night and the room felt chilly. Also, we have stayed at the Convent at least 8 times over the years. It would be nice for the reception staff to be aware of this and welcome you back rather than ask if this is your first visit each time. Also, extra treats for repeat guests would be a lovely touch.

Lovely restored convent with interesting art and stylish rooms. Great location. On site parking is also a bonus.

The exterior and interior decorating is award worthy. Such a unique first class destination in every way, including the restaurant. It far exceeded anything we have ever experienced overseas. We will certainly be back.

Dust on the light fittings and fan vents suggested the cleaners need to be a bit more thorough.

Snacks and great range of tea was a nice touch. Beds and room warm and comfortable. Lovely ambiance with religious iconography and paintings.
