The advertised photos didn't always show the true property. The bathtub was very scratched up and rusted in a couple of spots. It was disconcerting that the firewood was to be collected from a shed that advertised 11,000 volts on the door with exposed wiring directly inside the door. This is a big safety hazard and we could absolutely not allow our children to collect the firewood for the wood heater. The washing machine and dryer are located in an attached shed, accessed outside, with no lighting. Many of the light switches and lamps in the house appeared not to work or did nothing. There are also no clothes hanging facilities at all - no cupboards, no wardrobes, no racks, no hangers. Thankfully the owner did provide a drying rack when requested. The only heating, apart from the main bedroom, is in the main living area so you will need to leave all doors open for the heat to enter the rooms. The road to the property is also dirt, so you will need to check with hire car company if they cover dirt-road driving, as many will not. I was also not able to locate any oven trays for the oven. You need to be an animal lover to stay as it is a private property, with owners living on site, with many animals (horses, pig, chickens, dogs, cat) with some also visiting the house. Unfortunately, the beds weren't our taste, which is a personal issue, but the quilt/duvets were incredibly lumpy.

Location was good as it was only a few minutes' drive from local convenience store and a couple of restaurants etc. It was nice to have the extra outdoor seating area. Having a full kitchen was convenient for our family of four.
