Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Just the directions on how to find and probably best not to tell people they can park outside the unit, getting back out was very tricky, the angle was tight and the driveway very narrow- too much stuff in the way to turn effectively

the two easy chairs to sit in were hard other than that we had a nice two day stay
the location was fine for us the only thing was the driveway to get in a bit tricky

It's a struggle to wash dishes in bedroom and also unless you have a Netflix or something along the lines of it's either YouTube or watching your phone all night as the bedroom tv doesn't get normal tele

The linen was very poor quality. The decor was extremely dated. Cups and glasses were dirty. Carpet, flooring and shower were old and worn.
The location was amazing. Privacy and quietness were good. This place had most facilities one would need for a short stay but they were not clean and of poor quality.

Advert said apartment. I was expecting that. Its a sleepout. Bed was great. Facilities rustic and cramped. No kitchen. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Difficult to find and car access to sleepout was exceptionally difficult. Perhaps some help with editing would help.

Was travelling for business and I probably should have booked somewhere more expensive. Place could do with renovations - broken/old/paint and lino floor peeling etc. Whilst there was a fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle, there isn't really any space to prepare food and it was painfully slow filling the kettle from the bathroom sink with a mug because the kettle doesn't fit under the tap. As I mentioned, staff/owner were brilliant, but could get better rating and higher prices if they cleaned the place up a bit, fixed the broken things and put in a small kitchen sink and bench-top.
Room was very cheap. If you are on a budget and price is your only consideration, then definitely stay here. The staff/owner were awesome; very accommodating and friendly.

The place looked tidy. However, quite the foul smell lingered, which was our biggest problem it was quite unbearable. Sorry to say, but as soon as our eyes were open, we left because of this. The bed linen had stains and hair. If we didn't absolutely need a place to rest our heads, we would have left regardless of the non refund. Sorry to leave such a comment as it is the first. Maybe it's just a lesson to learn. If done right, this cute little place does have potential. Nevertheless, thanks for accommodating me and my wife
The host was so nice to accommodate our earlier check-in. 1200 instead of 1400. Because of the personal circumstances, it's so much appreciated. Very lovely host from what little dealing i did have. As from what i read in other reviews, the bed was beautiful when it came to how comfortable it was, and my wife agreed also. However, we can only speak for ourselves. .

1. Bed was very spongy and uncomfortable, didn't sleep well at all due it. I got sore back now which effected my ability to work today. 2. The room smelled of dampness at night. In my opinion it is not suitable to lease out a room/property of such condition, it can easily spoil guest's next day like it spoiled mine. This was just the second occasion in so many years when i didn't get a comfortable sleep due to poor bed when booked through booking.com
Property was ok, good amount efforts layed by host to make stay comfortable.
