The ambience of this room was amazing waking up to the Tui and fantails was a delight. The sunrise from this room words cant describe.

Decorated to a high standard, beautiful views, quiet location. Lots of nice little touches dotted around the property to make it feel high end and personal. Continental Breakfast was well stocked. Bed was huge and the shower was great. Good information booklet on walks and restaurants. Hosts very friendly and welcoming.

Peta and Rich have created a very special place and have thought of everything you could possible want. Lovely decor, the most comfortable bed, I am even thinking of changing mine and a very special luxurious bathroom. We loved the candles and beautiful products. The breakfast being included is a lovely added touch. We had a really relaxing time, we would love to return soon for that view .

A bit far away from everything, but great if you are looking for an escape.

Amazing place with a great view, I’ve never seen a place with such attention to the details. Plants, candles and breakfast, just everything was something I’ve never seen even in 5 star hotels.

Lovely studio that was tastefully decorated. The standard was that of a luxury hotel. Comfortable bed, great bathroom and well set up kitchen. The breakfast was well covered with a lot of choices. Nice outlook onto a lawn, bush and farmland. Ten minutes to Waipu village. Very friendly hosts. We will be back.

We loved everything! A beautifully presented accommodation that was so peaceful and comfortable. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed. The kitchen was cute, and it had everything we needed. The bathroom had a large deep bath and a huge shower. The breakfast was exceptional as well. The host was very welcoming. It was a lovely place to stay.

We had an amazing stay and it felt like a retreat. Set in the most beautiful location with stunning views. The apartment was quite luxurious and added extras like scented bath salts and very comfortable bed added to a great stay. Appreciated the very generous breakfast and being greeted by Molly the dog whenever we pulled up at accommodation. I hope we get to stay again one day. Thank you Peta and Rich for sharing your little piece of paradise.

Excellent accommodation. I have stayed in many places in my work travels, and this is in the top 1%. Clean, modern, comfortable, discreet, lovely views and the breakfast was fantastic. Bed was super comfortable. Modern kitchen was fully stocked with tea, coffee pods and lots of awesome treats for breakfast (including croissants)! Walk in shower with rain head option was an added bonus for me. Would love to bring my wife back for a mini stay. She would love the stand-alone bath for a relaxing soak at the end of the day!

Great comfortable stay. Luxury accomodation with well equipped facilities and breakfast, fantastic views, very quiet and convenient for exploring Waipu museum, shops, the caves and the beach at Waipu Cove. Peta greeted us on arrival and instructions clear. Would highly recommend for the views alone!

Everything was perfect

Wairimu lodge is the most beautiful BnB set in the countryside just 10 mins from Waipu.The lovely hosts, Peta and Rich have created a very special sanctuary and have thought of everything you could possible want. Lovely decor, the most comfortable bed, a luxurious bathroom, beautiful products and a very generous breakfast. It was very relaxing to sit on the deck with a Nespresso coffee (the only place we've stayed with a milk frother as well)!! and enjoy the gorgeous view. We would love to return soon.

No problems encountered

Quiet rural location relatively close to small town with good shops and excellent eateries and to a sandy beach. Room was nicely furnished and finished with excellent bed and good blackout curtains. Large freestanding bath. Plenty of scented candles provided and a good continental breakfast.

Perfect spot for some rest & relaxation and to unwind. Lovely quiet and beautifully maintained accommodation set in a tranquil location. The photos are a great reflection of the quality and show exactly what is on offer. The luxurious bath certainly helped the relaxation process.
