The location was great for the balcony walk. The outdoor balcony area was nice. We ate dinner at Sam's resort and brought our own food for breakfast and lunch. There is a small fridge in each room.

The checkin was a bit confusing because there didn't appear to be anyone there. Finally the caretaker came out and let us into our rooms. There is no restaurant close by so that was a bit of an issue, though we were able to go to a neighboring resort to dine.

Location was good for the day's activities. The rooms were very comfortable and the views lovely.

Bathroom was clean but smells really bad and needed to run exhaust fan continuously to avoid it. I think the problem lies with drainage. Should drive 10-12 min to the w6 balcony walk point. Minimum amnesties in the bathroom. Except for bedside cupboards there are no storage cupboards to keep your things. No restaurant available. If you need to buy anything like water or food you will have to drive to the small coffee shop near canyon view point 3. Better to take food and other supplies with you. There is no microwave to heat food, like most families you can do barbecue and enjoy or need to carry a portable electric heater or gas stove.

The best location to stay if you want to walk around and take photos of the canyon. It’s just 5 minutes walk to see the canyon. I was traveling with my parents and we booked one room with three beds which was a good budget option for us. In the facility each room gets a separate patio which gives a view of the mountain from the side and you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or read a book. The reception person was very helpful and quick to response. Clean room, beddings and towels. Space and other facilities are fair enough if you stay only one night. Room is equipped with a mini fridge and an electric kettle.

Although mentioned on Booking there is no kitchen where you can prepare a meal. The owner was very friendly and let us use the kitchen in another building.

The bathrooms have a sewage smell problem, but if the door is closed and the fan is on it is manageable.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are good, although a bit hard. The room has very little facilities for storage, but is spacious enough to bring in a lot of luggage. There is a small fridge in the room. The bathroom is spacious. Bring your own camping cooking gear or food as there is nothing nearby that is reachable on foot.

Everything was OK, but I would advise to arrive at day-light. We traveled the road from Alhamra to Jabal Shams View Stay after nightfall, and it was sometimes quite impressive with some bumps and bends - 4WD strongly recommended !

The location is just great, on a plateau only 12mn away from the village of Al-Khitaim, one of the starting points for the renowned "Balcony Walk" along Oman's "Grand Canyon". The owner happened to be having dinner at the very restaurant where we decided to eat in Alhamra on our way to Jabal Shams View Stay: meeting him proved quite interesting since he shows a strong sense of humor. No breakfast on site, but you can easily go to the "Cliff Café" a few minutes away, where you find continental breakfast as well as omelette if you prefer (plus, if you are lucky, free spectacle of the poor waiter chasing the goats who come and eat the fence of the shop).

there is no reception, so you need to tell the manager exactly when you plan to be there so he’ll give you the key. we were a bit earlier than expected and had to wait for about an hour until he arrived..

lovely little huts, super comfortable stay. no food on site but you get a good price for dinner buffet at the resort down the road.

Because of the location in the mountains be aware of the bad to no internet and phone connection. You NEED a 4WD to get there. Cant imagine to drive a normal car up those roads, but an adventure. :)

The owner of the place was really nicely following up with us. He asked when we would arrive, taking care of the booking outside the dinner (since breakfast and meals are not served at Al Hanrā'). We handling of payment was done in trustful and pragmatic way.

I had read others' reviews about the hard bed, but it's beyond words... like sleeping on wood. The rest of the room is ok.

It's easy to find the property, and the caretaker was helpful. Sunrise from the house is nice. And the balcony walk is near.
