I had an excellent stay at this hostel. The owner was incredibly hospitable, always ready to help with directions, recommendations, and anything else I needed. The room was clean, the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend.

Top place, people are really friendly, helpful, you can always receive help. Really recommended for backpackers, common rooms were open for everyone. You can also meet some cats!

The room, living area, and bathroom were all very clean and comfortable, but what truly made the experience special was the host’s hospitality and the warmth of the people there. The host even let me work late at night in the living room—despite the fact that it’s where he sleeps—and he offered me ice cream too! I was so impressed by his hospitality and professionalism. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer. I would love to come back to Muscat just to stay here again. Thank you so much!

Less than perfect is the location. Altho there are shops nearby an Uber was needed to get anywhere else of interest. I didn't use the bus systems.

From the moment I arrived I was made to feel really at home. The kitchen facilities are great, with lots provided.. I was even given a meal when I arrived, tho this is not to be expected. The atmosphere is relaxed and accepting. The women's dorm room spacious & cool with attached bathroom. I appreciated the curtain for my lower bunk bed and had the best sleeps. Great experience exploring Muscat with other inmates. Tho fiercly hot outside it was cool inside throughout. Can't praise I highly enough! Thanks for a wonderful home in Muscat. Speaking of which - lots of puss-cats in Muscat and a couple of mus-kittens were born at the hostel.

My bed (upper-bed) was just below the airconditionar and it was freezing. I was given a thick blanket when I checked in and I was curious why, but later I found it. I felt like I could catch a cold but I understand the onwer tried to solve the problem.

The owner is nice, the common space is cozy and comfortable.

Legacy Hostel is a great place for a backpacker visiting Muscat on a budget. In the summer months it was an oasis to walk into and feel the strong AC to give you a break from the heat. Beds were comfortable. Lou at the front desk was super welcoming and helpful, answered any questions about things to do and places to visit. I would definitely recommend to any traveller!

Honestly had such a good time here! The hostel has this chill, friendly vibe that makes you feel at home straight away. Met some amazing people , lou was super helpful, Beds were comfy, showers were hot, and the location was perfect for wandering around. Already missing it and kinda wish I could’ve stayed longer.”

Great location and comfortable accommodation. The bunk bed was sturdy and didn’t make any noise — perfect for a good night’s sleep. The host was very kind and even allowed me to take a shower later the same day after checkout. Highly appreciated!

Very spacious, very clean, the gentleman who works there can tell the history of Oman like a tour guide and helps with transportation and food. We can say that a place close to most locations can be stayed for months, summers are cold and winters are hot.
