It's closer to Mutrah (old Muscat) and also to Ruwi Bus Stop than most of accomodation of the same type, the room is big, staff is nice and you can pay on arrival.

There was a bar next to the hotel and the music was quite loud late at night. The good thing is that it sounded like awesome party music! This hotel is also not very new - maybe some might find it a con, but I personally didn’t.

Loved the location - it’s not in the most fancy/expensive part of Muscat but in my opinion Hotel Mutrah area is way better as it is walkable by foot without having to cross major highways. Many nice restaurants and the souq were just a walk away (1-2 km). The room was also super spacious and comfortable with beautiful windows and a nice view to the city and cliffs.

The bed was bad.. For a 6ft guy the bed was pathetic.. Also I checked in @12.30 AM. I had requested for a a late checkout.. But all I got was 2.30pm..

Nice small hotel not far from the historical Mutrah centre. Rooms are spacious with all necessary staff provided. Quiet place, 24-hours reception. There is also a restaurant inside.

The rooms are a little dated but nothing too bad. There was some noise from the bar below from around 10pm and through to after 1am, not ideal.

Staff were so welcoming and friendly, they did their country proud showing us such excellent manors and hospitality. Good value for money, good location, clean and comfortable.

The Wi-Fi requires logging in with a username and password each time, which often didn't work. The internet connection is very unstable. The bed is a bit hard, which wasn't comfortable for me.

Last time I visited Muttrah hotel was over 10 years ago. I was happy to see the hotel is still doing well and still has the quaint elevator. The lobby is tastefully decorated with books and Omani artifacts. The rooms are simple and basic but clean. Breakfast was good considering the price we paid. Management allowed us to check out a little late, which was nice. Location is convenient to Muttrah Souq, Ruwi, and Old Muscat. I will be going back!

The wifi in my room wasn't strong enough to work on my laptop, but I liked the room as it was quiet, so I didn't ask if I could try another room which might have had a better connection.

I had low expectations given the hotel was very cost-effective vs others in Muscat so was pleasantly surprised when the room was comfy, the staff helpful and the location good as it was walkable to do the fort, corniche and souq. The food in the restaurant was surprisingly good for the price, and it was nice to be able to order alcohol if you wanted a drink.

Staff told me I couldn’t check in early (no rooms) once I said I was happy to pay a room magically appeared.

Fairly central location - will require 20 min walk or quick taxi to access most areas.

Hotel itself is a little austere but this is more than compensated for by the warmth of the staff!

Staff are simply superb, try to help in anyway possible. Travelling with a young baby is challenging, they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
