The bungalow we had felt a bit uninhabited. The smell when we first opened the door wasn't pleasant, like no one had been there for a long time. Even though it was clean, it still felt dusty. I understand the concept of eco-friendly and recycled materials, but they could pay more attention to the appearance of the doors, at the very least. The room itself was clean and had all the necessities, but it lacked something to give it life and not make it feel so abandoned. ​The entire complex seems like it's just getting ready to open. I believe once it's finished, it will be beautiful, but right now, it doesn't give off a sense of perfection. ​Finally, I didn't appreciate the automated message I received about checking out right after we had just arrived. It felt more like a business transaction than a genuine concern for how we were doing or if we needed anything.

The location was near the beach, breakfast was good, we had dinner at the restaurant on the premises which was very good ( the ice latte was average)

Food options can be better like adding more cuisines in Indian, Chinese, etc. There is no grocery and pharmacy nearby, that should be worked upon as well. And the 1km road stretch to the property, should be repaired and made a clear road.

Exceptionally and aesthetically made. Wonderful location. Private living, no disturbance. No alcohol but shisha options available. Excellent staff.

Nothing I didn’t like but it is a drive from Salalah and not near any other facilities, so it all depends on what kind of break you’re looking for. For me it was perfect.

It’s like a piece of paradise if you’re looking for peace and quiet. A perfect place to chill. Lodges are wonderful and the dinners I had were great.

Calm, relaxing and quiet A beautiful little hide away with a beautiful large quiet beach all to yourself. This place provided wonderful friendly staff who went above and beyond in ensuring your stay was comfortable. From the kitchen staff to the reception. All were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the bungalow and felt very comfortable. The room was peaceful and clean. Showering outside was an experience with the wildlife! Everything was provided for, for our 3 nights stay. Location is great for all the wadi’s nearby, and without being too much commercialised. Overall, we will definitely return again. Thank you to Said, at the restaurant who was the most helpful and friendly waiter!

The initial smell inside the cabin , a mix of wood and what seemed like cleaning chemicals , was quite strong at first. Thankfully, it settled down after a while and didn’t take away from the overall experience. THE HEAT of Salalah in June.

Our 2-day stay at Souly Lodge was a much-needed getaway. Despite the heat, the beach and sea breeze made the experience enjoyable and relaxing. The wide stretch of golden sand is absolutely stunning, a true natural escape. One of the most memorable sights was watching the camels stroll along the shore each day, seemingly just to enjoy the beach like the rest of us. It added such a peaceful, almost magical touch to the experience. The team at Souly Lodge truly goes above and beyond. They wear multiple hats and seem to try the impossible just to make sure every guest is happy. Their warmth and effort added so much heart to the stay, making the whole experience even more special.

Solar panels seem to be the only eco concession as there aren't even recycling bins. Interior decor of bungalow & restaurant is haphazard and dated. Breakfast okay but food in restaurant for dinner was disappointing.

Beautiful location on a vast empty unspoilt beach but a short (easy) car journey from airport and Salalah. Comfortable & spacious bungalow with lovely outdoor shower and good wifi. Helpful staff.

Inconvenient location, too far from the town. There were strong waves at sea, that's why swimming pool would be a big plus. Instant coffee at breakfast.

The hotel is small, privacy is very important. It is a quiet picturesque place for a relaxing holiday. The bungalows are quite comfortable, have everything you need, an outdoor shower is a great idea. The breakfasts are monotonous, but good, the dinners a-la cart was delicious. The staff is responsive and attentive.

We’re currently staying at The Souly Lodge and it honestly feels like we’ve discovered a little piece of paradise. What makes this place so special is the peace — no crowds, no noise, just nature, the ocean, and time slowing down. The lodge consists of just a few charming cottages, beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. It’s the kind of place that invites you to breathe deeply and simply be. There’s an incredible sense of calm here. No rush, no pressure — just the rhythm of the waves and the space to read, relax, study, reflect, or do nothing at all. Even though you’re just about 20 minutes from the city, it feels like a world away. You won’t see many people here — and that’s exactly the point. It’s honestly something we’ve never experienced before. A place that makes you feel like time belongs to you again. Highly recommended for anyone needing a reset.
