Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PanamaAgain, for the price, nothing that I really didn"t like.
For the price, you can't beat this hotel. It includes a decent breakfast and a free drink at the upstairs bar.

PanamaThe restaurant. We ordered a burger(who puts a slice of ham on a burger) and chicken and rice. The chicken was not fresh. Refried. Lemonade was water with a drop of lemon. Perhaps breakfast is better.. but lunch is a total avoid!!

GermanyThe location is not so nice. The rooms are big, but pretty empty. All basic things are there but its not so comfortable.
The rooftop terrace has a fantastic view and the pool is great and pretty big (good for swimming). The bed was big and comfortable. The breakfast options are delicious.

United StatesKnob to turn on hot water in shower broken. TV reception could be better.
Hotel’s older, basic facilities were given added value by staff service and amenities provided. The breakfast was good. Food served was flavorful, and selection great. Staff made effort to greet customers and were helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable.Towels provided daily. Roof bar had great view of downtown. Hotel is within walking distance of subway and Sin Costera .This place is clean and safe with a great hardworking staff. I will stay here again.

GermanyNo welcome cocktail :-)
I stayed at the Caribe Panama for 6 nights and would recommend the hotel. It's very centrally located, and a metro station is only 5 minutes away. From there, you can get anywhere. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the old town. There's a supermarket right across the street where you can get everything you need. Unfortunately, the staff only speak a little English. But in the age of Google Translate and ChatGTP, that's no longer a problem. The Wi-Fi was strong enough in the hotel. There's also a laundry service, which I found very good and inexpensive. I had everything washed once. My room was on the 10th floor, and from there you have a good view of the city. I was there during the rainy season, so the hotel wasn't that crowded. And the rooftop terrace wasn't that busy either. But when there's a party going on, it can get loud.

AustraliaThe bed linen was horrible, made of some sort of synthetic polyester material. You could literally see the sparks from static electricity in the dark. I felt like all that static was messing with my body's electric signalling/circuitry. Some rooms (like ours) didn't come with a bar fridge. Also, there was no kettle to make tea/coffee. The area felt a bit dodgy at night, but it was actually quite close to the bay and public transport.
The rooftop pool area was very nice and we used it a lot. The pool was very refreshing, and you get the 360° panorama of Panama City. The welcome cocktail was a nice touch, and the daily breakfast was very decent, too. Very close to a large supermarket and the bay. It was nice to go for a walk there in the evening when it's not so hot outside.

United StatesThe faucet was not spraying normal, and water was spraying out of the sink; On my final morning of departure, there was no hot water coming out of the sink/shower, and no explanation by the staff for this; although the buffet is from 7-10, they refuse to replenish the juice after it runs out ~9am. Likewise I saw this when they ran out of fruit at 9:30; I did see an ant and ~8 very small cockroaches over the course of my 5 night stay.
Clean room; comfortable bed; great a/c; nearby supermarket; close to subway station; curtains block light well; decent buffet.

CanadaIf you're looking for a Marriott Level experience, this is not the place. But for Budget travelling it was great! Just don't have high, unrealistic expectations. The area around the hotel may not be considered safe but we made sure to walk toward the water front in the day and use uber whenever we were out at night. An uber driver warned us not to walk around at night.
This place was well worth the value! Breakfast included, rooftop bar and pool with a great view! We loved it and will definitely be back. It was close to the Downtown waterfront only a 10ish minute walk away.

SloveniaThe staff at check in did not inform us about breakfast and we only later realized it was included in the price.
The room was comfortable with a large bed, clean towels, there were good city views from the rooftop. It looked old, but we had a very good rest and are thankful for that. Wifi worked well. A large supermarket just around the corner. The price was around 38 USD when we booked around 3 weeks in advance, but jumped to 55 USD when we were looking to book again for our last night in the city just a few days prior.
