Reviews of Drago Beach House - Private Beach

The location was simply amazing, in front of a beautiful beach with quite calm waters. The garden is well kept, I can't understand other comments saying that it is not well maintained. The rooms are big enough, water in the bathroom was always warm and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space for all guests with lovely spots where one can relax. You can have you laundry cleaned for 5 dollars. The care taker Ariel is helpful and friendly. We loved this place, if you're not into luxury hotels just go for it

Very remote location which we liked,private beach,not many tourists.room was ok,bit basic,but ok. I prefer much more this location over Bocas Town as Bocas center seemed to me dirty and not so much atteactive. But you can do some tours around

Would prefer newer room ,better view but overall I was prepared for it. I missed supermarket closer to the house,you can only buy stuff in Bocas. Taxis do not want to go to Drago very much,they sometimes go,but it is long ride so better to take bus or wait for taxi once you see it dropping other tourists…taxi charge is approx 25usd (one way)

This place is exactly what it says in the name - it's like staying at your grandparents rustic beach house. It's quiet and peaceful and within close proximity to starfish beach. It has plenty of floor space for eating, lounging, games and has a good communal kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the A/C made sleeping easy. Leo the owner is very friendly and helpful. The bus from Bocas will stop out front if you let the driver know.

Directly on the beach, arranged with great outside seating. Shared spaces were inviting and comfortable. The rooms were very nice. You are not staying in Boccas Town so you get a lot of nature and calm. Drinking water is provided on place.

Since its not close to town, the only few restaurants that are in vicinity close very early. There is no supermarket near so you have to plan ahead.

Owner Leo nice and helpful. Accomodation has perfect location. All rooms and surroundings are clean and maintained regularly. Kitchen is well equiped for simple cooking. Pleasure to stay there

Best possible location with own private beach. Very peaceful, you can hear sounds of waves, wild birds and monkeys from your room. Very nice owner. Comparing to the noisy and not so clean Bocas Town this place is a paradise on earth. Recommend it very much!

Beautiful location at the sea. A couple of restaurants only a couple of minutes walk. The host Leo was very friendly and helpful.

The private beach is lovely, the gardens around the house too.. The facilities and rooms are like on pics

During our stay, we truly appreciated the tranquility and privacy. We enjoyed the beach with its calm, clear waters. There were also lovely spots nearby that we could easily walk to. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. To get around the island, you can catch the public bus right in front of the hostel.

There are no stores nearby, and the nearest restaurants are a 15-minute walk away. We didn’t mind, and the secluded location was actually a positive for us, but it’s something to consider. We bought enough food in the town center and used the hostel kitchen daily.

Leo the person who welcomed us was very nice from first, always willing to help. He made us feel safe. Also, the location is perfect, literally beachfront, I’d definitely recommend this place

Great place to relax and unwind, escaping the hustle and bustle of town. Loved everything about this place! Leo was very helpful and friendly as well. I caught myself a red snapper for dinner on the beach, hanged out with the local dogs and cat and enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset over the beach. It’s a 30 minute walk to starfish beach as well was which was good. There was hot water and aircon in the room. Bed was comfy and the place was clean. Highly recommend

A microwave would be handy for leftovers :)

Location stunning .can walk to starfish beach , but this beach is way nicer and quieter . Need to take food as no shops nearby but there are restaurants open in day a short walk or swim to .

Very peaceful area with a few tourists, a short walk or water taxi to Starfish Beach. Very nice and helpful host. Simple but confortable accommodations.

I was told to bring groceries because there were no supermarkets. It was not clear for me that every restaurant nearby closed at 6pm. If you don't mind about being in a very remote location it shouldn't be a problem. We had a problem of no electricity because of the construction of the road but our host provided a generator for baths. The hot temperature was terrible inside without the AC but a few hours later the electricity came back!

The rooms are located in a spacious house built right on the beach. If you are looking for not fancy but very comfortable place in a beautiful location book it without hesitation! The kitchen is very well maintained and equipped. It’s a great place to cook your own meals. We loved to eat outside and watch the waves. We enjoyed that we were able to swim right there, the ocean was very calm and warm that days. Rocio is an excellent host and communication with her was pleasant. The house is 20 minutes walk to famous “sea star beach”, one of the best places on Earth

The couple running the Drago Beach House went above and beyond to help us arrive, although we were very late and needed a lot of support to get to the island. Outstanding! Thank you Leo, your a legend. The location of the beach house is incredible, with private beach and in walking distance to the world famous starfish beach. Very quiet, very chill, an island paradise. The kitchen is well equipped and drinking water is offered for free! The beds are comfy, rooms are ample and the water pressure in the shower is ace. Lots of communal space to chill.

The house has seen better days and renovations would be in order here and there. That's why I gave less points on money for value, it's a tiny bit run down. Never the less comfy!

Amazing beach and super relaxed feeling! The hosts were amazing, very friendly and nice! Thank you guys for a great short vacation! We wish would've stayed longer! Two nights were definitely not enough!

At a beach in front of a small coral reef, inside nature

The location was wonderful. If you are expecting a five star resort and all the amenities move on but we had a half mile of beach to ourselves often where we were outnumbered by the Pelicans. Lots of seating and fantastic hosts. It’s pretty basic for North American standards but to us that’s the charm. Lovely family. Would definitely repeat.

Nothing to do with the house but the power is spotty. They did have a generator and were very good about starting it the moment they sensed and outage but it could only cover the water pumps (so you had water for flushing toilets and cooking (gas stoves)).
