The staff were super lovely, especially Angel! He was so friendly! The location was great. It was super clean and the beds were comfortable. I liked the attention to detail by adding soap and shower gel in the bathroom. I also liked that they provided paper towels in the kitchen. Very thoughtful! Keep up the great work!

The room was a bit small and the shower room was very cramped. There was no hot water, though I’m not sure if that’s common across all hotels and hostels on the island. The building itself is quite basic in construction, but it’s set right on the water—actually built over it—which gives it a unique charm. There’s a lovely deck where you can relax and enjoy the view. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs. There are a couple of nice restaurants on either side of the hostel. I would stay here again.

There was no sign identifying the place and not even neighbors knew about its location. Passed by it a few times late in the evening before stumbling upon it.

My husband and I decided to spend a week in Bastimentos. It is a calm place to stay at. The location is perfect, everything's nearby, and it's right in the middle of Old Bank. The deck is a great place to just relax, chill, read a book, listen to some music or watch the sunset. Even though the kitchen is small, it has most necessary things. When in need of a water taxi, please ask for Maya. He's nice, responsible, and very punctual. Finally, the star of our stay, and the cherry on top were the daily breakfast options offered by Kiosco&Pescador. Eunice was the kindest and her food was the most delicious.

Our room was upstairs with a lovely balcony pretty much right outside our door. For the first day there were very few guests so we were able to use the kitchen facilities effortlessly. A bit harder when there were more guests as it was small and didn’t have much cookware. There were many tables on the main veranda as well as hammocks for relaxing. The best asset for this guesthouse was the staff - SO friendly, kind and helpful. Loved staying here and would definitely come back.

The ladder to my bed was broken and bit dangerous to go to the top of bunk bed.

Nice peaceful hostel, all you need is close by, nice cheap and excelent restaurant 30 meters, shop 100 meters. The staff was really nice. I have booked Zapatilla tour and it was worth every penny. I really like lady at reception. ;)

The staff was amazing, so friendly! It was very clean and the hostel terrace direct at the sea was amazing. Best way to see the sunset and the stars. You can book the tours (for example the zapatillo tour) directly at the hostel.

Great value for money, and a really nice location! Easy to get a water taxi anywhere you need to go. Staff are very friendly and helpful for organising tours, water taxis etc. Small kitchen useful for cooking simple dinners.

It seemed a bit costly, though if I knew the easy of getting there by water taxi from Colon island, I would have arrived a day earlier. And I wish I spend another night at Bastimento.

It was very simple, though this is expected given the location of being at the water front along the Caribbean and of a very simple town. I arrived about noon and they quickly cleaned the restroom, which added.

Everything was great! But if you haven't been to Latin America be aware that there are termites.

You are in a very small town, so there is not too much happening, but they offer a lot of tours and water taxis. Also a nice beach is 20min away. You can also talk with the personal very easily and they really care about your concerns, e.g. laundry. The hostel is (literally) next to the water so the view is amazing. Loved it there! Also the danish place next to it is great. I think the price is fair.

When I arrived there was no one at reception, I called number indicated on app and no one pick up. After texting multiple times on booking, host come and gave me keys. Water in my room was off so I had to call again in order to be able to take shower. After taking shower, they knocked my doors as apperantly water leaked in the room under mine. When I was leaving at 11 am, still there was no one at reception so I left keys in the room.

Place is quiet and beautiful, terrace is shared, but I was alone in upper floor. Location is great. It was super clean. Host was nice. There is a small kitchen and fridge and dining waterfront area.

Room was very basic with cracks in floorboards looking on to sea very close below. Lighting in room was very poor. Fridge didn't t work, but freezer did. Jaguar next door is currently being remodeled so would offer better accommodation.

Location in the centre of Bastimentos. Double room with fan and bathroom.

No bar or restaurant in the property as advertised. Rooms are very basic, with gaps in the floorboards enough for things to fall through. WiFi wasn’t great. Staff were hardly around. Roach in the bathroom.

Simple. Good aircon. Nice location to explore Bastimentos - wizard beach is nice. Nice view from pier out front but all the seats were super uncomfortable
