By opening up their house and their hearts to their guests, Mike and Sally bring a whole new meaning to, “Mi casa es tu casa”. From the delicious breakfasts to the entertaining conversation, the SunSetters create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. They have thought of everything regarding making your stay the most enjoyable possible, comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts, and helpful suggestions for things to do on the various islands. We hope to visit again in the future. Big “Meow” to all the cute kitties!

What a great stay!! Sally went above and beyond, really great communication from the start. She gave us lots of suggestions and set up excursions for us. Wonderful host, hopefully we can go back someday! Thanks so much!

This place is something else. Sally and Mike are very helpful, gave the best tips making sure we would have the best experience possible during our stay. Their breakfast is 11/10, we used the paid laundry service and it was perfect as well, they also have kayaks, bikes, snorkeling gear for free, I'd recommend this place with my eyes closed. Will come back for sure. The best time we had during our trip was in Bocas del Toro. A taxi is just 1$ per person to downtown. 30min walk.

Sally and Mike are wonderful hosts! Very kind and caring. The Sunsetter lies in a great spot just after the mangrove overlooking the sea 🌊 It’s quite at night and with a proper airco it also guarantees a good nights sleep in the humid environment.

The first time you walk towards the sunsetter, you”ll pass what seems like a bit of a shady area, but after the first time you’ll discover that looks can be deceiving because it’s totally safe and people are all very kind.

We had an amazing time at The Sunsetter. The breakfasts were delicious, and Mike and Sally were always attentive to anything we might need. The place is beautiful and well cared for — they were the best hosts we've ever had.

It's important to keep in mind that it's a bit far to walk — about 30 minutes — so you'll need to take a taxi to get around, but it's not a big deal.

Mike and Sally are great hosts. If you get a chance to stay at the sunsetter don't miss out! The room we had was spacious, had an en suite bathroom, air conditioning, hot water, a small refrigerator and a huge balcony overlooking the water and mangroves. The location is in a typical island neighborhood and is very safe. It's more quiet than bocas town but is only a 15-20 minute walk away, and it is a very easy, flat and well marked concrete path for almost the entire way. You are close the main road that runs from bocas town to Drago and starfish beach where you can flag down a taxi or bus fairly easily. There is a market close by as well. Mike makes a homemade breakfast every morning that is excellent. Our three breakfasts included home made bagels and breads, eggs, fresh fruit, pancakes and a hash. They also accommodate dietary/food preference requests for their guests. They provide snorkeling gear, beach towels and beach cruiser bikes to help you explore the island and have many recommendations regarding restaurants, tours and other items. Staying at the sunsetter was one of our best hotel experiences in a long time and we travel frequently. Just of note, they do have cats at the property, but they are very friendly and fun to interact with. Don't miss out on your opportunity to stay at the sunsetter.

The Sunsetter B&B was absolutely charming that offers evening sunset over the water. Spotless bedroom with comfy bed, AC and TV. Breakfasts were delicious and hosts even provided kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles for us to explore. Sally and Mike and kind,and helpful. I would call them super hosts!!! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Mike and Sally are wonderful hosts. The actual place is stunning and comfortable. Mike makes delicious breakfasts every morning for their guests. Sally always makes sure you are well informed about the local area and is very welcoming. Amazing fresh coffee in the mornings also! We really enjoyed our time at the Sunsetters and would recommend to anyone going to Bocas!

We loved the atmosphere, room view, breakfast, clean and spacious room and the welcoming owners! This place is perfect to feel peace and (fun!) in Bocas :) Sally and Mike made our visit great with their recommendations for beaches, activities and great local tips. More, they make this place a home for 4 incredibly cute cats, which adds more love to the trip :) We love it and already looking forward to be back again in upcoming years.

Mosquitos but this is not place relevant. Just be prepared and come with extra strong mosquito repellant sprays.

We really enjoyed our stay! The atmosphere of this place, and being over the water was wonderful! Loved our room and deck that were spacious, and comfortable with great views. A delicious breakfast served each morning. We enjoyed using a kayak to paddle around. The owners were very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful.

This is a very peaceful place, close to nature and places to explore or just relax. I enjoyed doing SUP in the nearby nature and snorkeling the coral reef on the other side of the mangroves that are in front of the house. Sally and Mike are very personnable and welcoming, and I would definitely choose to stay with them again when in Bocas. Totally recommended! The breakfast was amazing too and my boyfriend´s only complain (not truly) was that it was so good that he´d love to have a second plate. It is truly a gem!

Mike and Sally were excellent hosts. They were attentive to our needs. We loved their breakfasts, especially the apple and cinnamon pancakes.

Small and welcoming BnB perched over the water on the edge of mangroves in a Panamanian neighborhood, featuring stylish decor, quality toiletries, comfy seating and beds, yummy breakfasts, and free bikes, kayaks and snorkel gear. We loved the mangrove snorkeling just 50 meters off the deck - so much life hiding in and near those roots! Walking distance from town for more dining options, but $1 shared taxis pass nearby on the main road all the time. Oh, and the 4 cats are a bonus!! Great to see the owners involved in promoting animal health on the islands.

Bikes are suffering from seawater/conditions, brakes were dodgy, but owners are planning replacement. Everything else was great, the attention to detail is excellent.
