How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewOne staff member called Mike who was always working the only staff I noticed didn’t stand around on his phone all the time.
The meals were very low quality for the price, the roof leaked water for two days before anything was done, then they put us in a lower grade room, the service from the staff was very poor they didn’t seem to care about anything much, least of all the guests.

Verified reviewThis hotel was absolutely beautiful, the pool and view to the sea were amazing. My room was massive and it was lovely to have a little kitchen area and sofa. Staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to help me, the coconut margaritas were to die for!

Verified reviewThe hotel has an amazing waterfront location and is the best property if you want to be able to step right out to all the bars and restaurants or hop on to a water taxi to a nearby island. It is all steps away. Inside the property you have a little oasis with a pool with a swim up bar, restaurant, great views from your private sun deck or waterfront loungers, and you forget that you are on the Main Street. The room was small, but very clean and perched right over the water. Bed was very comfortable and noise was not an issue.
Expensive for Bocas but we loved the location and would stay here again!

There was a power outage when we arrived, so check in was much later than promised. Also, the toilets and water don't work when there's a power outage, and this happened two days in a row - it could be a general problem on the whole island.

Verified reviewThe balcony and sea view was nice for the most part (it overlooked the roof of the restaurant below). However the AC unit on the patio was noisy, which detracted greatly from the ambiance. Great location. Plenty of towels, and nice size bathroom. The staff was very helpful with booking excursions, which was much appreciated. The pool was clean, but very much smaller than the pictures of the hotel show.
This was the most expensive place we stayed in Panama. We paid over $300/night USD (almost double the price of any other very nice accommodation we had including "Sea View" in PC Old Town), and we had high expectations. The room was "lived in", and the safe cipher lock did not function. We were finally given the master key for the safe. We had to ask for housekeeping to mop the floors the first day, and they were still dirty afterwards though not as bad. Slippers recommended. Water is not potable so we had to fill and lug water bottles up from the lobby. A water dispenser in the room would have been thoughtful. First day no coffee pods in the room (only milk pods??). Every night a club across the water literally blasted music until 2 AM. Extremely annoying, though beyond the hotel's control. Ear plugs recommended. Unless you get to the pool early and claim lounge chairs or a limited stool at the pool bar good luck enjoying the pool. People camp out there all day claiming both bar stools and pool loungers. Very piggy fellow travelers! We stood by the bar 15 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge us and take our order. Unacceptable. Main Street is all torn up so dust is everywhere. Not the hotels fault of course, just added to the poor vibe. The restaurant had ok food, beautiful presentation, but bland and expensive. Drinks were expensive too (up to 50% more than most places around town ex $3 beer, elsewhere $2-2.50). We spent most of our time elsewhere. Bottom line we would not stay here again. Overpriced, and over rated for a place we used as a place to only sleep.

Verified reviewOur room was excellent. Large, comfortable, even equipped with a kitchen and utensils. It had a nice view of the city. We had no problems with noise, even though we were pretty much in the city center. Everything is a quick walk away, and there are multiple boat terminals nearby. This is pretty much the only place with a pool, so it has a bit advantage there. In other places we've stayed at we don't have much to do if there are a couple hours to space, but here we can go chill near the pool, recharge, or have a drink or snack. The food in the restaurant is truly excellent. Even the included breakfast is really exceptional. The service is good, and even if this is one of the pricier places around, it's still cheap and an amazing value.
