Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt was great. The bathroom is technically on the outside of the room we stayed in, just a private hallway that you leave the front door to, but it wasn't cold or anything having to go back and forth. There isn't anything I didn't like.
Breakfast was AMAZING! Fresh prepared for each of us. Coca tea available whenever for us which I appreciated so much. We loved the sitting area and they were happy to let us stay even after check out. Really loved this place and would go back and stay again.

AustraliaThe common areas could do with some improvements. The dining area was clean and the food was good but the area could be a bit more welcoming, it was just a small table at the side of the office. The common area in the court yard could do with some improving to make it a bit more welcoming and comfortable.
Location was excellent, Lady and the breakfast team were amazing. The young man on night shift could not have been more helpful. Overall the staff were amazing and always helpful. The rooms were super clean and the beds were very comfortable. Overall we loved out stay at Afma and would recommend it. Our bags were looked after when we were hiking and our washing was done at a very reasonable price.

United StatesThin walls but not a deal breaker. Everything else was excellent.
Clean, comfy, heat included, great breakfast and excellent communication. Afma is definitely value for the price paid. Very centrally located and included heat as it was extremely cold. Afma stored our luggage as we left and returned from Agua Callientes. The staff were extremely helpful and the communication was excellent. GJEIS confirmed breakfast each day and for early morning trips, he packed a to go box, greatly appreciated. Maria and the other kitchen staff catered to the breakfast which was tasty. Overall, a recommended stay.

United StatesSuper charming property. Cannot say enough about how good this property is. What makes it wonderful is how clean it is and how kind the employees are. On their own, they came and sang to me for my birthday.

The location of this hotel was amazing, a few minutes walk one way is the San Pedro Mercado, a few minutes the other way is Plaza de Armas, and feels very safe to walk both ways. The triple room is a little funky, but very charming, clearly a very old building, and they had to shim the beds to level them, but the beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The water pressure and hot water in the shower were extremely reliable, the courtyard is very peaceful and charming, and it is very quiet at night to sleep. We also appreciated There was a TV in both sections of the room, although the Wi-Fi was sometimes a little slow. The most important thing I want to say is that my daughter got sick while we were there and the nighttime receptionist went so far out of his way to help us. I can’t thank him enough. He brought up an entire thermos and pack of teas for her stomach to our room, he called a friend at a nearby pizza place to bring us dinner so I wouldn’t have to leave my daughter. He was so sweet and helpful, and he really saved me because I was there alone with my two children.

NorwayYou can really only eat breakfast outside and it was cold in Cusco in the morning (you can eat in the tiny reception but it was too cramped for a family of four) Bathrooms door is fairly see through so little privacy
Although first impressions are not great (hard to find and looks like someone's house).once you get through the gate it's a cosy little place. Provided heaters for the rooms and had hot water Breakfast menu was lovely, lots of choices Helped out with oxygen for my son who was struggling with altitude sickness 4 blocks from.Plaza Mayor

CanadaThe room was a little dark because of the design of the old colonial house. That said, the room was well set up and this compensated for the darkness of the room.
Great shower, very comfortable bed and the little heater in the room was appreciated - it helped deal with the cold Cusco nights. The staff was very helpful and they provided us an extremely generous breakfast - made for a great start to the day!

Great beds, unique rooms, adorable, breakfast was incredible, service was so so kind (they ran to get strawberries when we asked for them at breakfast. literally ran), packed a breakfast for us when we left really early, let us store bags, warm, no noise from other rooms, great hot water

United StatesThe room could use new paint on the floor as it kept peeling and sticking to our feet.
Staff were all friendly, welcoming, and so helpful! We were able to leave some of our luggage while we were on trip in the Amazon for 6 days and the staff safely stored our luggage. The rooms were clean and breakfast was great.

This is a wonderful hotel! The staff are so lovely, the location is so great, the breakfast so generous and the room was the most relaxing and well equipped room we’ve had in Peru so far. It’s also very quiet as it’s set back from the street behind a pretty courtyard. This hotel is a complete gem - really, really fabulous.

United KingdomNothing , it was all great
Set in a pretty little courtyard away from the road, so very quiet. The best hot shower we’ve had in Peru, and a night time heater ) 1st time we’ve had heating in a hotel) Lovely friendly staff, especially the evening receptionist. Very nice , made to order breakfast, with pretty decent coffee ( quite rare in Peru hotels). The manager was very helpful and let us leave our bags 5 days in advance of our stay whilst we went on the Salkantay Trek. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel

SloveniaI would recommend to consider some small changes that might be effective to fight the cold in summer months - our room was spacious (which is great) however this means that it was also prone to excessive cold. Perhaps simple but thick curtains (like blankets) between the rooms and on the windows would already be an improvement to keep more warmth during the night. Additionally, the airport transfer arranged by the hotel (which is very kind) is ca. 30-40% more expensive than transfer arranged by some other hotels (we switched hotels in Cusco so were quite surprised by the difference).
Very friendly staff at the reception, more than willing to be as helpful as possible. The shower pressure is excellent and the showers are hot which is really something you require and appreciate in July. Breakfast is tasty, and while I do not mind the fact that space is small and difficult to decorate, it was also cold in July as the doors are always open.
