Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Everything was awesome
Amazing location. Right in the heart of of the historic city. Communal kitchen with everything you need. The best showers we have had in Cusco. Great pressure and hot 24 hours a day

The toilet was in the room and smelled a bit damp. The cleaning staff were very loud and cleaning at 7am. We were by the stairs so lots of commotion on the stairs and hall with guests and staff and lights were on so bright in our room. Had to use a sleeping eye mask.
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. We managed to get the shower hot after running the sink tap for a but (bit of a hack) and the pressure was good. The staff were helpful and let us store our bags for 4 days as we returned afterwards for 2 nights.

The water was either very hot, or cold. I could not find an in between. Should change towels at least every two days

Attentive staff. Super comfortable beds. Hot shower! It was warm in the room despite winter season. Location was wonderfully central yet very quiet at night.

lacking some utensils in the kitchen. There seemed to be some discrepancy between the booking.com and their internal booking system resulting in different dates for our booking.
Centrally located, close to plaza de Armas and main Cusco sites. Helpful staff when it came to storing luggage. Comfortable enough facilities. Good WiFi

There is a neighbouring disco which can be heard from the communal kitchen until about 1030 pm. It’s not very loud and we could not hear it in the room.
Front desk were so helpful and flexible. Room was really clean and quiet. Kitchen is great and so clean and really well stocked. Constant teas and hot water are a bonus. Location excellent.

Room and bathroom were a little bit of small
Great location and friendly staffs. Free luggage storage available. The room and common area were clean and tidy. Water was hot and there’s a hair dryer in the room.

Internal window in room so lack of natural light. Otherwise good

The room is located near the restaurant, where the music is quite loud at night. I brought my earplugs so I could tolerate the sound.
Nice location, spacious room, staff are friendly, some of them can speak English. They allowed us to store our luggage even after we check out

It could be a bit noisy at night
Great location in the center area of Cusco, most attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. The staff are very helpful.

We liked everything. The staff were exceptional (for us specifically Rodrigo & Malegras), the room was kept exceptionally clean, the room was fab & the kitchen facilities were perfect! Location awesome, great value for money

The only challenge with this property is that the pub next door plays it's music quite loudly throughout the day, from about 11am-11pm. At least the music is good :-) and after 11pm it is quiet. Also good to know that the hotel is about 50m down an alley, so pickups and drop offs will be at the corner of c. Quera. Not an issue at all, though.

The hotel was in a great location, close to the main square, but in a small ally, so it's very quiet. The staff were lovely and helped with everything we needed! Both the rooms and the kitchen are very clean. We loved the place so much that we stayed almost 3 weeks, our whole stay in Cusco :) I highly recommend staying here!
