Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe hotel has two names: Arqueologo and Casa Peralta — out taxi driver couldn't find it at first because Arqueologo wasn't listed on the entrance, but we made a call and it's all good from there
Love the quirkiness of the whole place — the court yards, the breakfast room, the staff, the location... feel laidback but not sloppy. Our room is a two-floor unit with a king bed so it feels like at home with a hotel service. It's also just a few blocks from the Plaza del Armas so it's closed enough for the actions without the tourist crowds. Staff are friendly, always ready to lend a hand. Highly recommend!

This lovely place has personality, charm and a great location. The breakfast room was probably my favourite place - full of light and positive energy. Staff was super helpful and friendly. We stayed here for a total of three nights and I would definitely come back.

AustraliaThe toilet and bathroom were slightly small and the breakfast was relatively basic. But this should not take away from the breakfast staff who were attentive, polite and friendly.
The hotel was in a great location and the staff were exceptional. Very helpful and would assist you with any enquiry or assistance you required. The room we had was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel also had a lot of character and was not sterile like a lot of places are today.

Dominican RepublicWe had a great time. The hotel has a great personality in itself, you can tell through the decorations. The staff was also great, very attentive and open to accommodate. The hotel has a really good location, not too high that you'll get tired walking to it, but also not to centric that you couldn't sleep at night because of the noise. A plus is that it has a heater, super important.

Argentinathe only thing we were unpleased about was the limited shower stream, but once we complained about it the owner fixed it and granted us a fair compensation for it
people were amazing, the location was very good except the need to climb in a high spot, the breakfast although was basic was served in a very nice balcony were we could admire great landscape of the city, and there were some nice goodies such as banana bread or lots of jams. the decoration of the hotel was colonial and very special, and there was unlimited clean and filtered water for private consumption, there was also all the time tea

United StatesHighly recommend staying here while in Cusco. The hotel is beautiful and has a great local feel to it, and It's only a 5 minute walk to the main square. The employees were super nice and helpful with any assistance I needed. I was usually picked up by guides at 4AM so I would be gone before breakfast, but they would hang a bagged breakfast to your door so I would have food for whatever I was doing that day. The room was really nice and had a great view of the mountains.

AustriaNothing to complain :)
We loved everything about the hotel. The whole staff was incredible and friendly. The room had a big bed and it was very comfortable. We loved the fact that it's on a quiet location, but still very close from the center and all the tourist attractions. 10/10.

ItalyMy room (104) and the nearby 105 are just below the breakfast hall and they are a bit noisy. Main entrance door extremely heavy. Not properly shown on google maps
Located not far from the city centre in a historical building. Very nice hall and pleasant garden at the back. Extremely kind staff. Breakfast quite odd but good. I asked them to provide me oxygen for the night. They need with no problems. Thanks

United StatesUnfortunately the beds are stiff, had to use the comforter to soften it up, otherwise divine.
this place is fantastic. Quaint classic property being turned into something special. hard to compete w/ all the surrounding properties, but this definitely should be considered. The Staff is totally on top of things. Taxi, local suggestions for food & places to see in beautiful Cusco. so much history and perfectly located about 3 blocks outside the main Town Plaza. Beds needs some attention though. it's hard to sleep on such a stiff/firm bed. Breakfast is simple, but delicious. Joèl (*insert French accent) will fill you in during breakfast regarding the historic property & must see things in Cusco. Has a Spa or place for massage, but we didn't utilize it due to lack of spare time. This place is also very convenient, as we stayed 1 night before making our way to Aguas Caliente to be among the first to reach Machu Picchu. So when we returned for a few additional days, our suitcases were conveniently stored. *you are limited, in what you can take up to Machu Picchu (think backpack only), but would highly recommend staying here.
