Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThe room didn’t have a window, there was just a fine window, a person could easily break into the room. I didn’t find it really safe. It took 30 mins to do the check in. We had booked 3 different rooms and each of us wanted to pay for its own room…but it seemed a complex ask. Poor breakfast, they didn’t even have mineral water.
Good location

United StatesThe walls are thin and you can hear everything inside the hotel and on the street. If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to reconsider your stay here. We were extremely tired this day so that was not a problem for us as we were able to sleep through everything but it did wake me up in the morning. I also didn’t like that the water in the bathroom shower did not drain correctly. It would pool around your feet and although it didn’t flood over the edge of the shower, a lot of water ended up escaping onto the bathroom floor and simply wouldn’t dry. This also occurred with the sink.
I loved the location, very close to all the action and of course the bus to Machu Picchu. Within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and cafes. I also liked the breakfast in the morning. That was nice as well. The staff was nice and picked us up at the train station the night we arrived. Size of the room was decent.

United KingdomThere was no shower curtain so the bathroom was soaking after every shower, we were next to the street so there was a lot of noise, and there could have been better options at breakfast, but none of these were big issues.
Comfortable bed, easy check in, good location, hot shower, and filling breakfast. Good value.

CanadaStaff didn’t seem to know everything always had to call who I assumed the owner for answers. The most disappointment for me was there was no hairdryer the night I stayed. Which after a sweaty day I really need to wash my hair and dry it. The other rooms had issue with hot water I’ve hear complaints from the room next door too (yeah I heard it loud and clear from my room). Seems to have some construction during the day. I also didn’t love that they messaged me from two different phone numbers and called to check when they could pick me up from the train station. A third person messaged me and sent me a picture of the station I’m not sure if it was a third person from this hotel? Really didn’t need to be rushed to check in like that.
Nice modern and new rooms. Just like the pictures. New TV helped for me to look up last minute YouTube videos about Machu Picchu. Good breakfast at 5am loved hot milk and papaya juice. Could leave my bag at the front.

United StatesThe wi-fi was terribly inconsistent as was the hot water. We were not given a floor mat and water from the shower kept the bathroom floor wet. There was construction taking place on our floor, so there was dust and noise - which would have been manageable had it not been compounded by noise from the train and walkway light streaming through the window. The staff was nice, but not able to move us to a comparable room. Had we not just spent 4 days hiking the Incan Trail to Machu Picchu, we would have been more flexible. But we were exhausted and wanted a hot shower, comfortable bed, and some quiet to recharge. Unfortunately, this was not the ideal location for that. While the staff was very nice, they were not very responsive to our concerns.
The location was a very close walk to the train, market, restaurants, and massages.

United StatesI got bed bug bites all over my body. Other than that the stay was great and the room exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately due to the bug bites my experience was a bit tarnished.
The breakfast was filling and adequate and the staff was friendly and always willing to provide a helping hand.

CanadaThe towels on our bed were damp on arrival which I was ok about. But on both mornings we stayed we woke up with all our clothes and belongings extremely damp from lack of air circulation.
Rooms were clean and lady at reception was super nice and helpful. Good value for money.

United KingdomHad no hot water in the evening. Wifi also didn’t work anywhere in the hotel and staff argued that it was because everyone was using it. Not a great excuse for a hotel. Rooms had very poor sound proofing so I could hear most other residents especially when they were showering.
Functional, close enough to important things in the town. Beds were comfortable and clean.

Israel-Mold all over the room's walls -staff is unprofessional: a staff member used another key to enter our room to clean it up, while we were there, even though we were checking out only the next day. Finally, when I wanted to pay using my credit card they had to call the manager and it took a while, and even then they charged me in Soles instead of USD, so they later asked me to look for local banks' agents to make a mobile transfer.
-Hot water and solid water pressure all day long, not trivial in Peru

United KingdomI was charged more than stated on booking.com in USD. This was nothing to do with exchange rates as they charged me in USD too. I was told I had to pay their commission to booking.com which I've never had to do before. I didn't appreciate this as I'd chosen this hotel partially due to the cost. There is also a 5% fee for using card.
The rooms are very clean and new feeling. The location is great, 30 second walk from the train station exit. Maria was very helpful and accommodating. They were able to give me a second floor room, after originally being given a fourth floor room, due to my bad knee. They also lent me a phone charger as didn't have one (I had come of the inca trail where there is no electricity). I definitely recommend!

ItalyWe only needed a bed and a shower for the night before going to Machu Picchu. We not only found a very confortable bed I wish I had at home, a perfectly clean room and the best shower I had in Perú but also very nice and helpful personal and a delicious, fresh, big breakfast to start the day. Everything for just a very reasonable price. Thank you Maria :)
