The authentic setting of an old cuscueña home. The kind and welcoming hostess

Property could need some updating to meet Western standards, but it was part of the charm of the experience to be in a very authentic setting

The hospitality of Ms. Magda. You felt cared for and at home especially when you are a solo traveler. Location is also very good! Rooms are clean and well-ventilated which is a must for me since I do not like musty smells.

Super caring hose. She woke up at 5 am to open the gate for my early tour.

Can be cold at night, with heating supplies will be excellent.

    1. Good communication via whatsapp. English works well. 2. The host lady doesn't speak English but translator works well. 3. You can enjoy very good breakfast (I mean, not luxurious one, but with fresh avocado, juice, coffee, bread with jam and butter which is very good for me) 4. There's a laundry room in the hostel, you can wash your clothes with 6 soles per kilo. 5. It is a pro and a con at the same time. The main door would be locked in midnight time and nobody could go in or out since the only key in with the lady. So if you need to go out / come back during this time, you have to tell the lady in advance. Most of tours in Cusco starts at a very early time like 4 AM for pick up at hotel, don't forget to tell the lady first.

The shower is not hot enough -- but I think most properties in Cusco have similar problem.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Always ready to help us.They took very good care of us. I recommend this place.

There are no windows in the showers and Cusco is very cold. Showers are outside the rooms so you need to walk in a corridor to get to your room.

Magda and Jimmy are the perfect host. Location super close to the center. Good breakfast and Jimmy can give you the perfect recommendation for food and things to do/see. Also good organization for trips all around like Rainbow Mountain. Recommend!

Comfortable bed, very nice staff and excellent breakfast. Decent location.

Very cold room and you need to leave the room and walk outside for the bathroom. The doors have cracks so all the cold air comes inside. Lots of blankets, but I was so cold!

Cute little rustic guesthouse. Well located only a short walk to the main square and museums. Anything you need you can easily ask for: blow dryer, towel, change sheets, more toilet paper, clean trash bins, etc and they will help provide. They are so helpful. Magda speaks Spanish and her son Jimmy also speaks English, can help set you up on tours and give advice. Great breakfast of eggs, fruit smoothie, bread, avocado. There were a few beds in my room so I could pick the most comfortable one for me, and Magda made the bed. I was warm enough with extra blankets and asked for extra pillowcase. Lukewarm shower. Nice outdoor seating in a small courtyard. I wish I could stay longer. I felt very safe, in the evening they buzz you in and out through a secure gate. One morning I had an early tour at 3:30 for Rainbow Mountain, I let Magda know in advance, and she got up to unlock the main door and she made sure I safely got into my van. Excellent price for private room with shared bathroom.

Wear shoes/sandals in the room because of the red paint residue from the floor.

I really liked Estrellita especially for the kindness of the staff. The rooms are tidy and warm . Breakfast is very good and very nutritional. A quiet place to relax after days of trekking around the area. I highly recommend this place !

The hostel is located in a great area, very close to the main square and well connected to the airport by the city bus (el dorado). The room was not luxurious, but very clean and comfortable. There was hot water in the bathrooms. Most importantly though, the owner Magda, who runs the place is the kindest, most caring person who made me feel like home. We’ve had some great conversations (she only speaks Spanish though!). The breakfast she served was better than in any other hostel i’ve stayed with fresh avocados and blended juice from fresh fruit. Overall I was very satisfied with my stay and the quality to price ratio is great.

The breakfast included in the price was delicious. The hostel was really cute, the room was small but clean with a comfortable bed, we felt well there. The lady who was in charge, was always smiling and kind, she did her best as a host. I felt like at home. I highly recommend this place.

The shower was only hot with a little water pressure. A little more pressure and the water was cold, even icy.

Female staff are lovely. The best breakfast I had in Cusco

Male staff are awful. Put me in a shared room when I'd booked a private. Understand a booking error, but to only give a discount of 6 soles was ridiculous. I didn't sleep at all
