Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThis hostel brought so much joy to my time in Perù. From the daily activities such as Ceviche classes, Sunset tours, Salsa classes and more, to the great food, it's a great way to experience Cusco. Thank you to the amazing people that work at Pariwana, thank you to Alex, Julia, and Lorenzo to keep the activities alive. Thank you to Nigel and Marcela to serve me the best drinks with a smile. Definitely recommend this hostel.

United KingdomThe entire hostel is very cozy and beautiful. And it's also just a stone's throw from the center. The rooms are very comfortable. Everything is very clean. The breakfast is very good. And the helpful, attentive, and friendly staff, Julio and Antony, are super.

IrelandThe staff was amazing, extremely helpful with all our needs and requests. Jeremy was super nice helping us with early check-in when we arrived tired after a long bus ride. Teodora, Rhanya and Kezia found the most efficient solutions for our luggage storage and helped us with all our little requests, always with the smile and kindness.

BrazilThe plumbing in my bathroom was horrible, I had to keep the door closed all day because it smelled really bad.
I only stayed one night, but the hostel's facilities are incredible and the volunteers are wonderful.

AustriaFor me personally it was too loud. When you sleep in the women’s dorm the bar is right above and you can hear it very loudly and feel the bass as well. I slept fine with ear plugs, but still heard it. The beds are „open“ no curtains - so it’s very light when someone switches light on Also the music in the patio is too loud for me.
Offers a lot: yoga, cooking class, free walking tours, etc.; liked the breakfast porridge and that tea was always available; people at the front desk are very helpful and kind; I loved the Patios to hang out and talk to others and meet people

United StatesThe kitchenette is quite small, but there is lots of good, cheap food in the area, so it’s okay.
The staff was very sweet and helpful, especially Brunno. The location was excellent, and it was easy to meet other travelers. I loved the tea stations and bar.

United StatesThe private room was overpriced, and in the future I’d only stay in a dorm.
I loved the salsa lesson (thanks Hector!) and food tour and the general welcoming vibes. Everything was clean and the common spaces were lovely.

United StatesAlthough the events were fun, they weren’t generally highly attended.
The dorm room was clean and comfortable (thank you Milagros). The staff was friendly and helpful—shout out to Brunno for all his help! The bar is well priced and quite lively, and it was easy to meet people there. Pariwana is definitely a party hostel, and well located.

CanadaThe rooms are run down and or room smelt like smokers were there. So between pariwana and Viajero, I would book the Viajero because the rooms and bathrooms and there breakfast set up are overall much nicer.
The common space of the place and the people that they have working there and the people that they attract to the place.

United StatesThe first time I stayed here my room was on the main street and there was honking alllllll night long, even on a Sunday night. Even with earplugs it was a bit of a disturbance, especially when it seemed like there was absolutely no reason for all that honking. It’s a single lane one way street. 🤦♀️ But that’s not the hostel’s fault. The price is also on the higher end, but I would still say it’s worth it.
This is one of the best hostels I’ve been too! They organize a bunch of activities each day, many of them free, including fun activities at the hostel as well as guided tours around the city. It’s definitely a party hostel so just be aware of that. If you need peace & quiet this isn’t for you. But there is some soundproofing in the bedrooms and with earplugs it’s not too bad (free earplugs are provided). I’m not a partier but I had two great stays here! The beds were comfy and the location is very convenient, just two blocks from the Plaza de Armas. The breakfast was good, and it’s convenient that they have a bar and restaurant that’s open all day. It’s a really big hostel with several nice communal hangout spaces and a coworking space if you’ve got work to do. The showers were decently hot. They also have hot tea of several varieties available 24/7, including coca tea and coca leaves to help combat possible altitude sickness, which is really nice!
