The only minor drawbacks were the time it took for the shower to warm up and the lack of a designated spot for toothbrushes in the bathroom. Still, those were small issues in an otherwise comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The location was perfect—just a short walk to the Plaza de Armas and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cosy coffee shops. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The room was clean, with fresh bed linens and towels provided daily thanks to the housekeeping service. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise with a generous spread including eggs, orange juice, coffee, milk, tea, cheese, ham, bread, butter, jam, and fresh fruit—more than enough to start the day off right.

It is located a bit uphill, so it can feel tricky the first couple of days, but it’s nothing that can’t be handled with slow, steady walking (and it’s great acclimatization for Cusco!). Our room was quite cold at night, but the staff kindly provided a heater, which made it comfortable.

We loved our stay at this hotel in Cusco! It is run by a very friendly family who are always there to help you with anything you need, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We enjoyed a fresh breakfast every morning, and the staff was always available to help us. If you want a true local experience while visiting Cusco, this is the place to stay!

The water was draining very slowly both from the basin and the toilets. Limited toilet accessories for 4 person. The 4 person bedroom located on the ground floor was really cold even after using the blankets. Suggestion: Add portable electric heaters for the rooms downstairs . Bathroom can be maintained.

The location is amazing. Great views from the terrace. Very friendly host. Smooth check-in even at odd hours. Clean room. Decent breakfast.

My only complaint is there was no heat, which maybe that is just how accommodations are in Cusco but it got pretty cold in the rooms so definitely bring and wear layers. Despite that, they provided so many blankets on the bed I was never cold sleeping!

The view was spectacular, breakfast was simple but filling. We absolutely loved the location - was a little tucked away from the main square so it was quiet and felt safe yes easily walkable! It was a great value stay, would absolutely recommend staying here for those just looking for a place to stay if you aren’t going to spend much time in your room!

The property charges in US Dollars and not Soles, The rate exchange is not accurate and not displayed at the front desk, So you get doubts if you have been charged properly and fairly. The property is just less than 10 minutes away form the main square going down the hill which is very convenient but it could be tiring to get back when you go up the hill.

Breakfast was simple but ok. Just the bread seemed to be cheap and bad quality. If you have to go out early in the morning before breakfast, the property do not support with a breakfast box. Consider this before you pay for breakfast .

- Rooms were extremely cold - We had to wait a lot for hot water in the shower - No hot water in the sink - Lot of hair in the bed - Beds were uncomfortable, especially with the many layers of heavy (and dirty) blankets we had to use because of the cold - Breakfast could be improved

The family is absolutely lovely and caring, it was a pleasure to stay at the Hostal Qolqampata. After check out we could leave our luggage there for some days, what was really helpful for us. The view from our room was beautiful. Thank you for the nice stay!

Room was coldish, the breakfast was not really good, and a little comment: Even though they were always there, since you dont have the main door key, you have to wait for them to open you the door, which is fine, unless you are in a real rush haha

We had some issues with flush in the bathroom. Also, toiletries (shampoo/shower gel) were not provided. For the breakfast, it would be great to have some more diversity like fruit or vegetables. Hotel is located uphill from the city centre which might be challenging for walking up at the altitude

Price and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nice warm blankets when it's cool for the beds. Mini fridge to store extra fluids. 9 min walk from Cusco centre, up steep road - reasonable close to eateries and bodegas. Also close to San Cristobal church and Sacsayhuamán. Walkable but can be challenging due to Cuscos altitude.

- bathroom was a bit smelly - I got an allergic reaction and had to sneeze and a running nose while I was in the room. - the window was a bit difficult to open due to the curtain rod which is blocking the window - the wall to the bathroom needs a renovation - payment couldnt be done through credit card in advance

- very comfortable, big bed with several warm blankets + 1 extra bed: perfect!!! - spacious room and bathroom - very friendly staff! - nice and comfy common area with terrace and great view! - very nice view to the city center from the room - good access from street to get in or out a taxi - location is quiet and yet just a couple of min walking to the city centre - the friendly man at the reception organized us a taxi to the airport

Unfortunately our room was on the bottom floor which proved to be very noisy. People coming in late and tours leaving very early so we struggled to get sleep. However on our return from the trek they did accommodate us moving to a higher level where we slept much better The shower temperature is a bit hit and miss Security for bag storage could be improved

This is a hard one to rate as the staff were friendly and attentive and were always willing to help. They have same day laundry service which is more expensive than down the road but you don't have to lug it up and down the hilly streets so we were happy to pay this extra. Breakfast was good, again the staff were lovely at breakfast. They stored our bags when we did the trek and have 24 hour reception
