Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsIt’s quite a walk to get up to the hostel, especially with your bags(so be prepared). The sphere was a bit off and the staff was not really nice nor helpful.
Amazing view at day and nighttime. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was nice and spacey. The tiny attic beds in the dorm were very cute and made the room authentic and unique. Enough spots to hangout.

CanadaThere was often loud music playing at the bar and the rooms are very close to the bar. Of you are waking up early for a trek or tour, this is not ideal. They would turn down the music at 11pm though. The food, drink, taxi services etc are all very overpriced. I arranged a taxi through them to the airport and paid 40 soles, the taxi driver told me it should have been 15 soles. There is no common kitchen. It would have been wonderful to have more comfortable lounging furniture on the patios to enjoy the views.
The hostel has an amazing view of the city and is actually right next to an Incan Site! The staff were very friendly. I spent Christmas eve and New Year’s eve here and felt very at home. The dorm beds were super big and comfy and I loved that the lockers were attached to the bed - with this and the curtains, it felt like you had your own room.

CanadaI stayed in the Torquoise room. Very spacious, big shower, hot water, wifi. Staff were friendly and kind. Wouldn't say this is a party hostel. Like most of Cusco there are lots of stairs to climb to get here. The room is smack central to everything in the hostel, I used my space heater as white noise as I am a light sleeper and slept soundly.

United KingdomI had a private room right next to the reception/restaurant and it was slightly noisy early in the morning (deliveries?).
The hostel is set up the hill and has beautiful views of Cusco! The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was really tasty. Great location and value for money.

United KingdomI really struggled with the cold on the night - a heater in the room would have been amazing.
Great hostel in a lovely location. The staff were great and so helpful and accommodating making a gluten free breakfast for me. The turquoise room was spacious and great for a couple, the bed comfy, and the water in the shower really hot. Taxi service to/from the airport was great and reasonably priced.

AustraliaThat most tours start before 8am and breakfast only starts at 8am. Kind of no point offering it free with booking when most of the time you can't access it. And the steps 😂
The staff were super helpful and kind. The view from the reception/restaurant would have to be one of the best in the whole city. There are really nice restaurants within 10mins walking and you can hear the birds chirping in the morning. The dorms were also super comfy and cute.

BrazilThe hostel did part of the realization of my dream! All was amazing. The hostel's workers were very polite and helpful. They helped a lot. I loved absolutely everything. It's nearby of downtown. It's fantastic. I highly recommend. If I come back to Cusco, I would definitely stay there again.

Romania- in the rooms is very cold, indeed. Was not a big problem for me because I made use of the blanket and I also had some warm clothes. Also the hot shower helped. During night is usually cold in Cusco, at least when I stayed (June). I don't know how other hostels are dealing with the cold nights but besides this, there is nothing that I didnt like.
- The hostel has a great vibe & cool resting areas - great food (including breakfast) - hot water - warm blankets - Free dancing classes (ocassionaly) - very friendly and helpful stuff - In private rooms you have more than 1 blanket, towels and free tea. În the doorm room you have to pay for the towel and have only 1 blanket - the location is great, close to the center, up on the hill with a great view over the city - they offer you lots of trips (extra) - very safe to walk from the center to the hostel also during evening. - the cars/taxi can reach a very close point to the hostel if you need a ride I really enjoyed the stay (I stayed in total 4 nights).

GermanyThe only con would be that the dog kept us awake at night sometimes with his continuous barking.
We spent 10 nights at the Supertramp hostel and had a very pleasant stay. The location was great and the view is beautiful. From the photos you can see that they made a great effort to paint the buildings and rooms in a modern and exciting way. The Supertramp team is very welcoming and helped us a lot with the planning of different activities in and around Cusco. The private room we had in the beginning, as well as the dorm we stayed in in the end, were both clean and cozy. The included breakfast was good, too. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and would stay there again anytime. Thank you for having us, Supertramp Hostel.

United KingdomThe roads and stairs up to the hostel are pretty steep. Whilst not an issue for me, I would take this into account if you do not like that kind of thing. It also means Taxis and tour minibuses can't get all the way to the hostel, although they are used to this and will call you to let you k ow they are waiting below. Early starts for many mean you will get woken up, or wake others up throughout the early hours. This is not a fault with the hostel, just something to consider when making your bookings . Having the bathroom and shower as part of the dorm, while convenient for me and other early risers, does add to the noise issue too.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The views are beautiful. Internet is better than in many surrounding areas. Showers are powerful and hot. The rooms are nicely laid out and secure. The 24 hour reception is very useful due to the early starts for many hikes in the area. I stayed twice during my visit, and the hostel were happy to store my belongings free of charge for 4 days while I was on a long trek. They also offered the same on my checkout day. The food offered is simple but good quality, perfect for post hike when you don't want to venture in to town. I would chose to stay here again if I was visiting.

Bonaire St Eustatius and SabaThe showers didn't work, one day it was way too hot the other day just freezing cold. I thought it would be a social hostel, but there was nobody around. Also when checking out the girl behind the desk was really rude when I asked to place my bag in the storage. She sighed loudly and rolled her eyes like I had just asked something very difficult. Would not stay again.
The location was good with a nice view and the hostel had a nice interior

FranceIn my 2 months trip throught Peru it is the most expensive-worst experience I had in a double bedroom. 20 sol charge to change my first bedroom (I changed because for 150 soles I expected the room to be quiet but it is build right in the middle of restaurant and terrace with no sound insulation! Seriously… And the second I took (for 160 soles) was big but had no windows, smell of mold, it feels like a cave, the bathroom is to tiny you can’t even put your stuff inside, the flush wasn’t even working normally, one of the two bed lights wasn’t working…. For me my stay in this hostel was a disaster and a lost of money. I wanted to stay 4 nights but I left after 1. I just can not believe they charge so much for this! It does not deserve this price, 80-90 soles at most Also, the behaviour of the staff was unprofessional and I felt like disturbing a group of friends that had others things to do !
