This is a situation of you get what you pay for. I didn’t have high expectations but the place was loud and cold at night even with blankets. The bathroom was clean but could afford to be deep cleaned. Hot water only lasted a couple minutes. The area was safe but at the very top of the hill/road, not their fault but just be aware it’s a long walk. This is a plenty fine place for one night or young solo travelers

Unfortunately, my room didn’t have a window outside so air couldn’t circulate and the room and especially the bathroom were moldy and smelly and didn’t seem too clean. Also a shower mat for the floor would be nice because the room gets flooded after just one shower.

The staff, location and food is amazing and I loved the rooftop terrace. They also stored my luggage while I was at Machu Picchu, provided free tee and water at all times and were very nice.

Agua Calientes is not a big town , so you can walk to everywhere. This hostel is on the top hill and around 300 metres from the ministry of culture (the place for buying Machu Picchu tickets) but it is super close to the hot spring (30 soles for entrance fee) This dorm room includes 1 shower and 1 toilet.I like their capsule bed which has curtain and light . So I got my own private space and I could read during the nigh. The bed is super comfy! There is some space where you can sit around only on the first floor. I am not sure if they have a washing area but I saw a hanging clothes area.

The sheets given per bed appear to not be washed, I found a lot of hairs in it and there were some stains on the sheets

There is only a small area to hang out and it is usually occupied by staff working. No area real comfortable social area. The restaurant downstairs is loud when games are on TV. Also live music (which is a total plus if you aren't waking up at 4AM for the early bus like I was :)

Comfortable beds with private lockers and curtain and light. Staff was helpful making sure I had a bed to accommodate my injury. Nice location if you plan on going to the hotsprings because it is located on the same side of the village making a shorter walk back.

The rooms windows open up above the reception and the sounds echoes quite loudly into the rooms.

I like the curtains on the bunks, the bar below the hostel was good. The staff were great and super nice and informative. They went above and beyond.

Nice spacious encapsulation for the bed. Facilities including shower and toilet were very fresh. Warm water in the shower, not intermittent. No towels provided. Bedsheets didnt fit the matress or blanket. Had to rawdog parts of the matress.

Really nice staff, at the top of a hill on a cute square Everything is a 5 minute walk away as are most things in Aguas Calientes. The room was OK, the sheets kept coming off the bed and you end up on the mattress. The bathrooms were a bit smelly. But was fine for the amount of time actually spent there.

It was not too far from the centre and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was a bathroom for a room with 6 beds. The main problem was the musty smell because the room didn't have a window, it overlooks the reception below.

Tons of internal windows which means you hear random sounds. Reception was under my window so I got up when check outs started happening very early and things were being dropped on the floor. Also you don’t know what breakfast will be when you pay for it in advance. No protein options on the 2 days I was there so not a complete meal in my opinion.

Beautiful spot, nice rooftop chill zone. Beds were capsule style in my dorm which I love. Individual outlets and lights. Breakfast served early (4:30am). Nice helpful staff

Hostel is dirty. It smells like mold. Bedsheets are too small so that you end up sleeping on an old dirty mattress. For one night alright. Would however go somewhere else next time

The staff were really friendly, the beds were comfortable and private with a curtain. There was a nice breakfast (15 soles) and live music in the evening but not too late. The hostel was clean and it was nice to have a bathroom in the dorm.

It can get loud during the day or in the evening. It didn't bother my sleep personally but I can see how it can bother your sleep if you're more sensitive.

Modern facilities - in fact, this was the best shower I've had during my month in Peru. The water was hot and the shower pressure was good, and you can regulate the temperature. The curtains on bunks gave me privacy even at hostel.

Pepe the receptionist and Veronica de bar women were the best, super welcoming and helped me a lot during my stay! The bar downstairs have some live music shows in a very cosy environment. I really had an excellent time at the hostel 😁

One guy at the reception was not very nice on his way to talk to the customerS.

The bed and the space around the bed was good. Early breakfast is possible from 04:30 which is great. On my opinion it's valuable for one night, otherwise it's better to not stay too long in this crowded touristy place

The only problem was that I had the terrace above the room and in the afternoon two guys who were making easels, when they put their feet on the ground, they made a lot of noise, all the other guys were enjoying the relaxation on the terrace I solved by going out and walking around Aguacaliente

I chose the room with the tub, it was a great gift given the cold climate. All the guys at the reception and those who worked in the hostel were very kind... I only stayed one night, I slept very well.

Noise from lobby goes right into room window overlooking the lobby. Old location better, this location is far away near the end of town.

Cool Hostel. Good artwork. Friendly staff. Good food. Good sitting areas. Good laundry service, very fast.
