Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyNothing. It has been perfect!
The staff is extremely nice and try their best to accomandate your needs. Both the location and infrastructure are perfect. The rooms are wide and very clean and you can enjoy a fresh and tasty breakfast on the last floor looking at Cusco surroundings and Mountains.

United KingdomThe mornings were very cold, so the rooms would benefit from having a heater.
It's a lovely boutique hotel in a quiet street. It's very near the central plaza and there are many places to eat and drink nearby. Our room had an amazing view over Cusco and at night when everything was lit up in the town, the view ws even more spectacular. The staff were absolutely wonderful.

United StatesThe hotel is in San Blas, which we loved for the views, but it seemed to be an issue for both taxis and all of the tours we booked, given the narrow streets and the fact that the road the hotel is located on is walking only. We typically had to meet tours either on the cuesta de San Blas or the nearby plaza.
The hotel was beautiful, with an amazing view of the city. Everything was exceptionally clean and the included breakfast was delicious. We also appreciated that the hotel did take away breakfast for our early tour days. The staff were extremely accommodating with very early checkouts and luggage storage

ItalyOur first room didn't have heating (mind that August is winter in Peru) so taking the shower was hard, while the second had little space for the luggage. Fortunately we only had one suitcase
Super cute hotel in the San Blas area of Cusco. The staff was willing to keep out bags overnight while we were in Aguas Calientes (we did two different bookings) and they had tea available 24/7. The common areas were quite nice and the view was stunning

I loved being in the quieter artist section of town on a car- less street. Plus, the views of the city were spectacular, especially at night. And the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, especially carrying luggage up and down a number of flights of stairs. Breakfast was plentiful and very good as well.

The artisan San Blas location puts you near the center, but because the street has no cars , it is very quiet and quaint. The city views from its high location are spectacular. Breakfast was hearty and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating.

What a wonderful find!! This lovely hotel exceeded our expectations in all respects. We loved the quiet and comfortable rooms, large beds, excellent location, 24h free tea and coco leave station and beautiful Cusco views. Also liked that staff was available if needed but not hovering around one as you find at some places. Amazing value for money.

GermanyYou definitely need an extra heating to have a warm room during the night. Which will make a bit of a noise. The noise from the bar is only on Friday’s and saturdays.
We have stayed in multiple rooms during our stay. They are all lovely designed. Better to have a room on the upper levels. You have access to tea all the time.

SingaporeThe room doors are a bit hollow, so you could easily hear your neighbours opening their doors or tap running. Location was a bit out of the way from the main street which is about a 10 minutes walk away. The road outside the hotel is not vehicle accessible, so you got to get off the cab and walk maybe 5-7 minutes to the door, the path is rocky and not easy to drag your luggage on too. This also does not aid for those planning to go for tours, as the tour buses would need to be on main streets which are wider, so you need to walk closer to the main square to get your pickup. We chose the add on pick up option which cost about US $14 just cause we didn't want to think about the hassle of finding an Uber at almost midnight. On hindsight, Uber would have been cheaper at probably a fraction of the cost.
Room was spacious, we got the one facing inwards of the courtyard on the corners of the top floor. We stayed twice, once in each corner of the courtyard, I would say that one layout was more sensible and spacious, even having a toilet which had his/hers basin areas while the other was cramped. Breakfast was simple, nothing fancy, you could also order take away boxes for early departures to tours as well. The dining area is open all day to allow for water top up which was convenient. There are some small supermarkets and eateries on the same level without needing to go down the hill.
