Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaAfter doing the 5 day Salkantay trek, this was such a welcoming place to come back to. The lady at the desk gave me a hot tea and got me straight into my room which was so cozy! It's really clean and quiet and the breakfast is delicious. The staff were always lovely and happy to help!!

QatarThis hotel went above and beyond during my stay. When I struggled with altitude sickness, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, providing me with everything I needed to feel better. They also answered all my questions about my Machu Picchu trip with quick and helpful responses, making sure I was well-prepared. The transportation they arranged was seamless and reliable. Their speed, kindness, and attention to detail truly made my trip memorable. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area!

The property is a 20 minute walk from town but it is worth it. The bed is super comfortable, shower is hot, breakfast is enough to start the day and the staff are super lovely and accomodating. I extended my stay multiple times and was able to leave my bags here whilst doing the 5 day Salkantay. When I got back they were already waiting for me in my room. I would stay here again without a doubt.

United StatesFirst off, I'd like to say that the shower was absolutely fantastic. There was genuinely hot water and you didn't have to wait long; sometimes it would come immediately, sometimes it would take 10 seconds, but you didn't have to wait 5+ minutes wondering if hot water would ever come. The pressure was also excellent. There was shelves (actually two) for placing soap, shampoo, etc. in the shower (a small thing, but it is remarkable how often these seem to be missing in showers in these parts). The room was well appointed and included a wardrobe with hangers and shelves to put things. The bathroom had a towel bar (another thing sometimes missing from bathrooms (hooks are inadequate)). They cleaned the room every day. The towel was changed daily, and the towels are in good condition. Apparently, they have four WiFi routers in the hotel. Three provided a strong signal in my room. Generally the WiFi worked well except for a brief period on a Sunday afternoon and even then it was functional enough for low bandwidth activities. Breakfast was provided. They always included some kind of protein, eggs or cold cuts with cheese. Happily they provided items beyond the usual bread such as a pancake with bananas or fried potatoes with sausage. It wasn't a huge breakfast, but it's sufficient to tide you over to lunch. Coffee and tea were abundant. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets ( the room was the coldest I experienced of four hotels in Cusco; apparently they have electric heaters, so you might want to ask about that if you want to stay warm when you aren't in bed).

EcuadorCusco is largely steep hills, so be prepared for some good leg workouts if you don't use taxis.
I had the privilege of staying at the Valicha Casa Hotel for six nights right before Christmas, 2024. And, I’m so glad that I did. I was greeted upon arrival by a young woman who probably weighed half of my weight. She promptly insisted that she carry my two quite heavy suitcases to my room – since I’m 77 years old, I both felt bad and was grateful. She then offered several times to make me a tea which helps with altitude issues. The next morning, I had the first of six (free) breakfasts. Everyone was a bit different, but all were delicious. For example, how does juice, creamy freshly scrambled eggs, bread, a cup and a half of fruit, and excellent coffee sound? I sent a photo of one breakfast to my stay at home wife and she was jealous. The room was very spacious, clean, and even had a large TV with DirectTV included. The bath towel was bigger than many I’ve had in some of the large chain hotels. My room even had a balcony with a table and two chairs on it. Airport transportation both ways was included in the price. The women who worked there (own the hotel?) were all very accommodating and kind. All of this for the price of one night at one of the “big name” hotels in Cusco. On my next visit (this time with my wife), can you guess where I will be staying?

United KingdomLocation - the hotel is about a 15 min walk from Cusco centre (downhill) but it’s at the top of a really steep hill so you need to get a Uber back unless your up for a trek!
We were put into a room that literally looked like a prison cell it was very depressing. The staff were super friendly and showed us another room but it only had a double bed. Can’t fault the staff at all they were all lovely and tried to be as helpful as possible. Okay for one or two nights. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quite. We actually did sleep well. Also shower is powerful and hot.

GermanyI had no hot water in the shower at all for 2 of the 3 nights. No noise isolation, you can hear everything, kids screaming in the hall. The location was uphill, had to climb many many stairs everytime. Breakfast was poor, they dont ask you what you like they put ham in the omlette and chocolate in the banana, they better if you want these things...
Bed was comfortable with many blankets. smart TV with Netflix, they provide a small heater, good wifi. Staff were very nice. Safe place.
