How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Extremely filthy floor and paper thin walls. Smelled like sewage in the bathroom. My breakfast had hair in the margarine. I pre-paid for 4 nights, and the owner wouldn't refund me any money after leaving after the first night due to excessive noise and a filthy room. You can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. It sounded like there were no walls. Not only could I hear normal volume conversations from the next room and standard phone use, but the sounds of dogs barking, chickens, and street noise seemed like I was camping outside. I dribbled a little liquid from my beverage onto the floor, and when I cleaned it up, I realized how extremely filthy the floor was. It was disgusting. Do not stay here.

My son stayed there for 4 nights and we needed to extend it for another night in order to move to another place. Reservations were available on all sites. And I made a reservation. But the administrator wrote to me that today is check out and that they will not be able to leave my son for one more night. They explained this by saying that they had a direct booking and all the places in the hotel were occupied and he had to leave. This is the first time I encounter such a situation! I thought it was impossible in principle receive an eviction notice(( my son got a lot of stress because without cash, he couldn’t even move anywhere with his luggage in 3 suitcases. He sat and waited on the grass. But the administration accepted the transfer to the yаpi and gave him cash if only he would leave quickly. This situation spoiled the impression of my son being in the sacred valley and he decided to leave for another city(. please note, this place continued to be available for booking

We appreciate the time you have taken to leave us your review regarding your son's visit; First we want to mention that our service team is totally professional in terms of caring for all our visitors (foreign and national), whether older adults, young adults, boys or girls, it is demonstrated that our professional attitude towards your child's stay from The first day of his admission has been in the best way, we have been predisposed at all times to every request that he may have requested of us. We were able to see in the 4 days of his stay that the 34-year-old young man had unusual attitudes, for example, a constant change of mood, at some moments he was happy, then he was sad and cried for reasons unknown to us, he had mood swings. constant personality, on the day of his check out, vigilant against his physical integrity, hitting himself and against the trees that we have in our garden, which is why during these 4 days of stay we have been in great and traumatic tension. We also observed that the young man often conversed alone, rambling on ideas that were not typical of a healthy person. Also mention that we have always been at your disposal, such as helping with the provision of cash since, as mentioned, the young man lost his credit card and did not have cash, we help him financially in the way you like. He asked us for bank transfers, in these 4 days I also indicated that the money sent by his son was used to buy alcoholic beverages, during the time of the stay there were moments in which he drank inside and outside the hotel, arriving in an unbalanced state. our stay which increased our fear about his personality changes. We have spent these 4 days of reservation with trepidation and fear and we checked out on the corresponding day. Verified reviewI loved the gardens, the flowers, the front desk, my room, my washroom, everything was immaculate and extremely professional yet super relaxed and comfy. The view from my room was spectacular , the walk to the main plaza literally a few minutes down the street.
I liked everything however, I would recommend a place to put towels or to hang items in the bathroom.

Verified reviewThe staff was super nice from the woman who checked us in to the woman who cleaned the room. I liked the garden and the old colonial building, plus free tea throughout the day. It was very quiet at night, too.
We didn’t find the thicker blankets until we were packing up to leave. Also, wish we would have known how nice this hotel and the town of Calca was so we could’ve stayed longer.

Verified reviewAmazing value, the rooms were spacious and clean. The staff were excellent. The water was hot and the shower pressure was excellent.
The hotel had a market right outside, this was open until around 10 and the vendors were noisy and slept in the street. The street cleaner came along at 3am and 5am on both nights causing dogs to bark and also banging about. The windows/doors had gaps and so any noise was heard in the rooms. Calco was not the best village on our trip, i wouldn't go again. Pisac is much nicer.

BATHROOM was smelly but it looked clean. No side bed lights just blue lights bulb lamp in the middle of the room ( but it seemed lightning is an issues all around the country: the placement of lamps and the bulb characteristic : too strong too blue light)
