Although our host explained, we simply couldn't figure out the trick to get hot water in the shower (which I think involved a red-handled valve in the floor by the room's entrance). If you stay here, make sure that you get a clear demo because it's not easy to figure out on your own, or just expect not to use the shower. There's also an enthusiastic rooster in the neighbourhood who starts encouraging you to head to Machu Picchu's busses at ~4am, but honestly I appreciated his efforts, and he is far better than a noisy train or a party street like you get elsewhere in the town.

We had a stunning view in our room, and the hotel is a great, quiet location which is just a stone's throw from the buses to Machu Picchu. Our host gave great advice about how to get our tickets, and gave us a wonderful paper bag breakfast for our early departure.

The view from the room was lovely, you could see the main square and mountains. The beds were soft. And the shower was nice and hot. They staff held our bags for the day as we had a later time slot for machu picchu. The hostel was up a bit of stairs, and then the room was up more stairs, but the view was worth it.

There was an ant problem. There was also some miscommunication about breakfast, as a small run bnb just make sure to communicate whether you plan to have breakfast there or not. The breakfast hours are pretty early 6-8am.

Hot water and great water pressure! Which was absolutely necessary after 5 days of no hot water at a previous bnb that claimed to have hot water. Window from the bedroom was stunning. Bed was large and comfy.

Warning! Pay cash. I was charged 16% extra for using debit card, at first I was told I was charged extra because I’d been given a room with king size bed, it wasn’t. Then the owner told me the small print in the email from booking said 10% charge for not paying cash, but after his dodgy dollar to soles exchange rate it came to 16%, as we left he gave me 10 Soles back, so in the end it was 14% above what booking said. Go to the ATM first, it only charges 6%!

I think breakfast ends really early, so if you have a ticket to go to Machu Picchu in the afternoon or want to wake up a little later after a long day, you can't do that here because it ends at 8:00am.

The room was really big and the beds were comfortable. Many outlets weren't working, which made charging my phone a little hard, but I could find one that was working. The view is incredible, and it was the best part. I loved waking up with a view to the mountains.

The room was comfortable but the whole property needs some TLC, it is modest and may not be for everyone.

Affordable, modest and comfortable stay for a night or two. The owner works very hard and is very helpful. The location and views are worth the money. Five minute walk from the train station, in the heart of the village.

Lack of amenities, not even hot water for tea. The room was cold and smelled old and nasty. They never clean our room nor offer to change our towels or more toilet paper. Bed was comfortable, but smelsl like it was used and never replaced. It is a shame because the place is nice, but need more love and better care. It doesn't take that much to make the place more likable and welcoming. Bathroom is disgusting and smells dirty...

Room's view was espectacular. The location was closed to everything they allowed me to check in early so we could go to our excursión to Machupichu.
