Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe property is a considerable distance from town and takes around 40 minutes in a car - this wasn’t a problem for us and is a pleasant drive however all tours go from town so a car is required. The owner will provide you with a car as part of the rental for an additional fee.
Beach location - sunsets and sunrises just beautiful - outside living - and beach area including bbq a great plus - the property is very well managed and the owner keeps it in very good condition. The bed is big and comfortable in the bedroom - sofa bed in lounge we didn’t use but great addition.

HungaryIt's one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. Tastes are different but I liked it much better than any other luxury hotel in French Polynesia. Being so close to nature in the tropics was a lifetime experience, the lodge is clean, spacious, modern, very well equipped, with a private beach in a lagoon. It is also a nice place for snorkeling, and Suzy gave us many ideas and even a written handbook of where to eat & go. You definitely need a car here, but Suzy takes care of it. Strong Wifi, AC, everything is flawless.

United StatesThis place is good for a family, not two couples as the air conditioner is in the bedroom and the living room has a pull out couch. It was great for our family though.
The location can’t be beat! The views are stunning and it’s so great to have your own private beach, which is one of the better beaches on the island. The kayaks and sup boards we lovely to have. The house is clean with everything you need and comfortable.

AustraliaThis stay was high quality - nothing to complain about or add
Interaction with host was exceptional - directions to Lodge were clear and easy to follow, we were greeted by a local young woman who explained all the appliances etc plus a rental car was available for us when we arrived and a recommendation for a day trip was outstanding. Lodge was beautiful - full of fresh flowers, kayacks and outdoor lounges etc were all included, safe and quiet with a lagoon just metres from the outdoor balcony. Fantastic sunsets.

United StatesWe loved it!
The setting is amazing with a private beach as well as an area to snorkel. The propriétés is very organized and accommodating. She rented us a car with which she picked us up at the airport, took us to a grocery store and helped us shop, gave us several recommendations of where to eat, and even called to make reservations on our behalf.

GermanyThis is a true gem. There are two separate bungalows on the property, so there is a lot of privacy. The bungalow is equipped with everything you need, we prepared most of our meaks ourselves and the modern washing machine is also a plus if you're travelling for several weeks. Not to forget the shower, which is just fantastic compared to some other places we stayes at. On the property is also a private beach, which is rare on Raiatea; you can also use the paddle board and kayaks for free. Last but not least, Suzy was amazing - always answering our questions and providing useful tips what to do.

United StatesNo issues this was a wonderful place to stay.
The location was absolutely perfect! There are not many beaches on the island and with this place you get your own little beach all to yourself. The place comes stocked with every thing you need both indoors and out. There’s lots of outdoor activities like snorkels, bikes, kayaks and paddleboards to use. Even sand toys for the kids. It is close to a couple of little grocery stores and restaurants which was nice. If you have kids there is a bounce house night market type of thing, we unfortunately didn’t get to go but it looked like fun, also some food trucks in the area. The snorkeling was also nice. Suzy was an excellent host and was always available to answer our many questions and help organize activities and reservations if needed. We do not speak french and Suzy went out of her way to make us feel welcomed, comfortable and set up to enjoy our stay - her English is great even though she may have not thought so :) we were able to rent a car from her which was super convenient - she was waiting for us with a sign at the airport with the car ready to go. The car we got was a stick just fyi. We would definitely recommend booking this stay and really hope to return someday!

United KingdomNothing superb - and great value !
Lovely location About 30 mins from Airport so you do need a car. The Lodge has a private beach, and you can snorkel just slightly away from the cove. Free use of Kayaks, Bikes, Private beach, there are 2 lodges - but we only had neighbours for 1 day. You have great views, and we saw plenty of fish, rays in the bay. We also took a trip out to a moto using the Kayak's this was beautiful. Its own paradise, and the locals visiting the island offered me a beer. The people are just fab. I recommend brushing up on your French, learn some basic Tahitian and you will have an amazing time. Suzy is a great host, me us with a car, took us the local shops, and explained where everything was.

New ZealandThe addition of extra pods for the coffee machine would have been nice.
This was a wonderful accommodation option on Raiatea. We were met at the port (coming from Tahaa) by our hostess, who proceeded to drive us (in our rented car) to the accommodation. It is situated approx 20km from the main town, so a vehicle is necessary for traveling around (although there are bicycles available at the property it would be a long haul to get anywhere). The outlook of these two 1-bedroom units is superb - looking out over the bay to some motus. It is very private and quiet, and as such would be a blissful place to stay for several days. The wifi was great, and the bathroom and kitchen were fully functional. Overall a wonderful place to stay!!!

CanadaLocation was on a busy road. A lot of road traffic early AM. Couldn't keep the windows open. No privacy on the deck or living room. The kitchen window from #2 overlooked the area if you are in #1. Had issues with power failures (3). Once when we plugged in the Wall-mart toaster. The BBQ is not usable. Rusted piece of junk. Uses scrap wood found on the property. No screens on the windows, inviting spiders, shad flies and chameleons if left open. When you lock the front door the electricity shuts down everything including the AC except for the fridge. Stayed seven nights
The beach was exceptional and well kept. Shared with guests from the adjacent bungalow. AC worked well in the bedroom. Premises were clean.
