Bathroom and toilet basically inside our bedroom, with no door and with the separating wall not reaching the ceiling. Very, very small sink. No complimentary soap or toiletries. Air conditioning for a fee, but fan available. Room lighting in the ceiling was rather odd for a bedroom, more like that of an office. Only possibility for breakfast or food was either to bring and cook it yourself or to go somewhere else by car.

Location was just off the main road, easy to reach, with plenty of free parking. Room was wide, with several windows. Very large shower in the bathroom. Comfortable king bed. Fridge in the room. Fully equipped (but rather old) kitchen available in the common area. Access to a private beach was possible, but we did not use and cannot rate it. Friendly and available staff.

Excellent service and help from the hostess Kihi (and her husband). From the moment I booked, till and including my departure, she was extremely helpful and couldnt have done more to make my stay pleasurable. The residence is very quiet but across the road, you have access to a private beach which is most tranquil and beautiful. You do need to rent a scooter or car to see the island and get around. It is also very close if you want to see the polynesian show. Kihi also helped to organise for pick up and drop off for tours and dinner when I did not have transport myself. I would definitely stay again. Thank you Kihi.

We had no cleaning in the room, so there were a lot of sand on the floor in the last few days - maybe a small broom in each room? but all in all no problem.

My friend and I stayed here 5 nights and liked it a lot. It is located a little outside the “city” and a scooter or car is needed. We rented a scooter with Kihiraii and it was easy and very good. Kihiraii is always availible and quick to answer at Whatsapp and just a great host.

The toilet had no door. No air condition. Not negative but useful to know: This is a good and priceworthy choice if you come by car, since there are no restaurants or shops within walking distance and no public transportation.

Very friendly and helpful hostess. She helped me find activities and arranged for pickups. The beach was fine. There was a well-equipped kitchen that you could use .which was good because you could not get anything to eat from the hotel.

The bungalow was a lovely space to relax - spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a few nights including access to the shared kitchen space for cooking. The location was ideal for exploring the area but also private and quiet for relaxing. Kihiarii was the best host, so helpful and great communication and recommendations. Thanks so much for a great stay, would definitely recommend and stay here again if we return!

Everything was great

Kihiari was the best host!!! She helped plan and book my activities, transport, even offered to drive me to the grocery store. The room was spacious. The kitchen was large. The beach was across the street, white sand, quiet and delightful. The whole vibe was peaceful, easy and friendly. I would absolutely stay again -wonderful experience and introduction to Moorea.

We loved staying at Residence Vainau Moorea! Kihi (the host) was so friendly and always helped us with every single question we had. Our little Bungalow was clean and cozy, the bed was comfortable, you can watch the sunset at the little bay near the Residence. We really appreciated our time there and if we ever come back to Moorea we will stay here again!

I did not realize that being 100 m from the beach there would be no air. None. Had I known I would have looked harder to be on the beach, for the constant breeze.

The owner/manager was very pleasant and helpful. She even drove me to the food store to get supplies.

absolutely everything. there was construction inside the residence which nobody cared to inform us about. the bedsheets were torn, the bathroom without door. there was air conditioning but they asked 20 euros more to put it on. we have been traveling around different countries and inside Polynesia and this was the worst experience we’ve had. not recommend at all

Excellent place to stay in Moorea. Very spacious and clean rooms with many facilities for a comfortable stay. Kihi is an amazing host and created a very welcoming environment. I would like to visit Moorea again and stay at this residence.
