Getting to the accommodation at night was challenging. Taxis at the airport were not very friendly, especially when we mentioned we were not going to a big hotel, and some even refused to take us. The host had sent detailed instructions with pictures, which was helpful, but navigating at night made it difficult to find the place. We tried calling the host for guidance, but they didn’t answer. As for the house itself, the biggest drawbacks were the pillows, which were quite uncomfortable, and the kitchen window, which is very large and has no curtains, making it easy to be seen from the neighboring house.

If you’re looking for an affordable stay near the airport and are arriving during the day, this place could be a good option. The place was quite clean, within walking distance from the airport, and the host was very friendly in written communication. If you have a late arrival, I’d recommend arranging transportation in advance and being prepared for some difficulties in finding the place at night.

hard to find with Taxi driver since there was no exact address. Sent lots of pictures and helped to get us there in the evening which made it harder. Overall a very clean basic place to stay for good value. God communication if you needed any help.

Ants are pervasive throughout French Polynesia. Every bungalow should have ant spray. Ours didn’t. No A/C

Hot and humid with no air conditioning. Therefore, we had to keep windows open at night. But the noise made it difficult to sleep (due to proximity to the airport). No curtain on the kitchen window, so the neighbours could see straight in. We had some cereal and biscuits (in their open boxes) on the dining table overnight. By the morning ants were everywhere and ruined the food.

This is not related to the accommodation itself, but be aware that taxis will charge an extra fee to get up the hill.

The host picked us up at the ferry terminal. An extremely nice and kind man. The place was very nice and clean, with a nice view. Very comfortable bed. The place is up on the hill so there is a nice breeze in the night-no need for A/C. We had a flight in the middle of the night and the host arranged a taxi for us (5min drive).

Cleaning was a big problem - a lot of ants running all around the apartment making it feel unclean all around; communication around the included airport pickup was also very lacking - leaving us calling the host 8 times and running for 30m before they bothered answering and arriving at the pickup. Shame as I’m sure they mean well - but the execution on both cleaning and pickup are very lacking.

Getting there is tricky, but the host provides you with a short video on how to get there. If you travel solo like myself, watching a video while driving at night can be a challenge.

Host was responsive with assistance on stopping at the supermarket after he arranged to pick me up down town. Able to do last minute laundry before flying back to South Africa. Host arranged a Taxi on shopping day, assisted with directions to down town taxi and again the morning of my flight. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Overlooking the ocean, airport and beautiful church building.

Like most residential areas in Papeete, don't go walking outside the gated property, there are a lot of dogs (lots of barking) round and not nessarily friendly. Take any food and drink that you need otherwise it would be another taxi trip out. We knew this would be the case and were organised.

Very clean and tidy unit. Stayed there between flights to use to relax and have a freshen up. Great shower. Had a placec to sit outside and lovely view over the airport and sea. Good location near the airport. A free pickup from the airport to the unit and then they kindling kindly arranged a taxi to get to the airport later. Hosts were great to deal with and communicated really well. A perfect place for us to stay for the hours we needed it.

Excellent modern clean spacious house very close to the airport! Very friendly staff who help you with transport to the accomodation and provide great local recommendations! Would highly recommend!
