The location is up in the hills in a relatively new area being developed that is very upscale. The whole are seems very new and modern. It is a gated community, and is quiet, yet only about a 10 min drive into town/airport. You need a car to get in/out. Our host, Matahi communicated and met us at the airport since he also works there and was so helpful with providing a map, suggestions of food and then get us situated once we arrived. I would highly suggest reading the review with details on the speed bumps. It is very accurate, as Google still has not mapped this brand new area. The rental is so beautiful and I cannot believe it has not been booked more often. It is peaceful, safe, well equipped, tastefully decorated and if we stayed in Tahiti longer, I definitely would stay again. We stayed twice while we were here. Matahi was so accommodating, even offered some rice and other treats for our kids. It is much cooler and less humid up in the hills and we didn't need AC. I highly suggest this, especially if you have kids. A small mattress was set up in the room, and it was so spacious that it felt like 2 bedrooms. We were told that they plan to add a bunk bed within the area in the future. We used it as a place after we arrived by flight one evening and then for an early ferry, and then back to the airport, and is no more than 10 min anywhere.

Matahi and his wife were very welcoming and kind. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a lovely outdoor dining area and kitchen. Great view down the valley from the deck. It's a little hard to find until Google maps the area properly. Use the detailed instructions from the other other review on here and you'll find it. Don't try on your own like we did! 😄

The property owners are very nice and helpful, they were always making sure I had what I needed to be comfortable and offered advice on places to eat, shop and tour. This property is in the hills in a quiet residential area. You'll want to rent a car, I was able to park mine in their secure garage. The neighborhood is fairly new so Google hasn't yet mapped the roads. Here are some easy directions to get you there. Navigate in google to Easy Go FAAA. Pass the store on your right and proceed 400m to VOIE B. Turn right on VOIE B and proceed until you cross 5 speed bumps. After the fifth speed bump turn sharply left at the next intersection. Follow the road to your first intersection and again turn sharply left onto VOIE E. Proceed to the top of the hill and through the curve. The house will be on your right as you complete the curve. The bungalow is spacious, modern, clean and well appointed. I was very comfortable during my 10 day stay. The A/C worked well when I needed it. The bed was soft and comfortable. The Fire TV worked well plus I was able to use firestick to watch TV from my home. The WIFI worked well with NETFLIX and streaming apps. The view from the deck is amazing. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare meals in. I recommend this property and will defiantly will book again. Many thanks to the the owners for looking out for me and making sure I had a fantastic first but not last visit to Tahiti!!!!!
