Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandIt was difficult to control the shower temperature.
The hosts provided us with kayaks and bikes. This allowed us access to local village and to the water activities like the sandbank with the sharks and stingrays. Also the islands with the coral gardens. The property was very clean.

SloveniaThe accommodation is located in the most beautiful part of the island, by a crystal-clear lagoon and at the foot of the mountains that surround the northern part of the island. If you're looking for ideal access to both the sea and the mountains, this is the perfect location. So much has already been written about the host Harold that I thought the reviews were too good to be true. But I experienced it myself and can confirm that they are more than true. The accommodation is in a quiet village where you have everything at your fingertips – the beach, a grocery store, cafés, and restaurants. Harold and his family go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. The house is new and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including free use of bikes, snorkeling gear, a kayak, and more. I easily biked to Maharepa and back without any issues – the views along the way were stunning. I’d especially like to highlight, as others have, the exceptional lagoon tour led by Harold for an incredibly low price. This trip was phenomenal – one of the best experiences I’ve had in French Polynesia. Harold truly knows the hidden corners of the lagoon teeming with marine life, where you won’t encounter any other tourists.

Harold is a great host, the house is splendid. Attention, polite guidance w/tour proposals, sea adventure (sharks, rays, dolphins, coral snorkeling, abundant explanation) - do not miss! Shop 100m, foodie places 500m, wonderful garden, crabs, birds. Kayaking from site to lagoon. Fully recommended

New ZealandThe pillows were a bit on the thin side, but the bed was super comfortable.
The place has everything you need to cater for yourself. Harold was very helpful and gave us good tips of places to go and things to do. The place was very clean and had easy access to the marina channel from where we could launch the kayak (provided free). It was also quiet and safe, and a fully stocked shop walking distance up the road.

United StatesThe bungalow was very clean, spacious enough, had everything we needed. Very nice bathroom, fridge for our food items. The bungalow was located close to all our activities. Harold was such a sweet kind soul and Incredibly accommodating. He was very attentive to all our questions during our stay. He helped us plan out our days, helped us with last minute plans, arranged a scooter for us, set up our taxi back to the ferry, provided us the bikes and kayaks to use freely. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and host. He even accomated us last minute and took us on his private island tour which was such an incredible experience and priced way better than all other tours. I got to swim along turtles and near eagle rays! A memory I'll hold forever. So grateful to Harold for everything. You will not regret staying here.

GermanyWe had an absolutely lovely stay! Harald is a fantastic host—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home, offering great tips for local excursions and activities. One of the highlights of our trip was the private lagoon tour he gave us on his boat—truly unforgettable! The bungalow itself is clean, well-equipped, and located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Just around the corner, there’s a well-stocked grocery store, which made everything super convenient. The beaches and main attractions are only a few minutes away by car. Although we didn’t have time to use it, there’s a kayak available free of charge, perfect for paddling out to the nearby sandbank. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return. Highly recommended!

Sloveniareplacing bathroom taps (difficult to set the right temperature), updating certain interiors...
The accommodation is located on the property of the owner Harold, who lives in the house next door. The property includes two houses with beautifully landscaped surroundings. OK infrastructure, hot water, air conditioning, WIFI, TV with connection, the accommodation equipment is satisfactory for living and cooking. The cleanliness is perfect. The property is fenced, safe. An extremely big plus is the possibility of using a kayak within the accommodation. You can paddle with it along the canal (across the street) to the lagoon. A well-stocked shop is about 200m away. Harold offers a private trip with his boat to the beautiful corners of this part of Moorea. I highly recommend it, even if you have already experienced such a trip before... Harold - thanks again for your hospitality and I hope to see you again.

SloveniaWe really can not point out anything we did not like. Our experience on Moorea was perfect and we would not change anything.
Our stay in the house was really wonderful. Everything was perfect - the house if fully equipped, clean, has air conditioning and a very nice terrace. We were really happy to have the possibility to use the free bikes and the kayak. Harold helped us with suggestions for where to go with the kayak, where to snorkel, and he also offered a boat trip that was awesome. He brought us some fresh fruit a couple of times to try. We were really thankful for his help and suggestions. We could not have wished for a better accommodation or a better host! The location of the accommodation is also great - next to the shop, to the canal that leads to the sea and very close to the motus that are great for snorkeling and exploring.

United KingdomHarold was a fantastic host. Very helpful, friendly and kind. The lodge was large, very clean and well equipped with a kitchen that included a cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle etc. There were bicycles available for guests to use and they were great. I cycled round to Cooks Bay with no problems. Another bonus was the free kayaks for guests to use. You launched them onto an inlet just across the road and it was an easy paddle out to the lagoon. Moorea is an expensive island to visit and I found Fare Titaina excellent value for money especially with the inclusion of bicycles and kayaks for guests to use

AustraliaThis is a truly lovely property located in a beautiful area of Moorea surrounded by upmarket homes. The owner, Harold, is a true gem who goes the extra mile to ensure that the stay is perfect! The bungalow is equipped with everything you could need and the extra touches, like a clothes hanging rack, shampoo and conditioner, a proper oven, a fan in addition to the air conditioner, and even kayaks to use are what sets this property apart. The location is perfect - a 1 minute walk to the local and well stocked store to pick up your baguette or croissant, a short walk to the beach or access with the kayaks via the canal, and in an area with local snack bars and activities near by. Don't hesitate to book this property!

The other reviews were also right about the host, Harold was extremely polite friendly and helpful, he gave me detailed recommendations on where to eat and activities, and even booked a transfer and table at Coco beach for me. Plus his shark/ray/turtle/dolphin tour was private and magical. He really deserves the great reviews, I only wish I could repeat the experience!

The little house was very clean and very practical. The location was perfect. Good restaurants were all around and there even was a little path for the kayak to go out in the sea. Harold was awesome, always there for us, advising us some activities or some good restaurants, and even took us for a special tour to see some dolphins, sharks and rays. We loved our stay.

United StatesThe off-season weather (good for dramatic photos, though)
Two comfortable, well equipped bungalows with large decks in a quiet private development. Friendly, helpful owner. Decent market ~100 m, good local waterfront restaurant just a short walk. The use of the development's private beach is (March 2024) in the process of being returned from an usurpation by a greedy individual, so it was a 1 km walk/drive to Tipaniers or 2 km to the public beach.
