The views, the pool (that we had to ourselves), the quietness, and the fact that being at higher elevation seems to mean slightly cooler air, a little more breeze, and no(?) mosquitos. You really can't beat this setting for its combination of special features, unless you need to be able to walk to a beach or travel without a car. Friendly host, available to help when needed but otherwise gave us privacy. Neighborhood felt very safe. The nightly rate was a very good value. Photos: 1) The daytime view is amazing even from inside the apartment! 2) Even your parked car gets a spectacular view. 3) Host's friendly dog on one of her visits 4) To the north, many paragliders (although none is visible in this photo) launch just over those green hillsides and soar all the way down to the ocean.

(I'm not sure why negatives are given first - please be sure to read the positives below!). The road going up to the home is a bit daunting but doable with probably most if not all cars. I think I read that the elevation at the home is more than 400 m above sea level. The road is steep with many switchbacks. We arrived after dark and it was ok but I imagine not everyone would be comfortable with the drive. Guests definitely need vehicles to access this home. The following are just comments, not dislikes per se. The only things we lacked were pretty minor: washcloths (not common in French Polynesia?), hair conditioner, and a sharp non-serrated knife (for food prep). We would just pack these things if we ever return - and we might! This was fine for us but guests should know that the host's very friendly and gentle large dog visits the guests several times each day. Expect a head on your lap while you are seated outside or a nose (and possibly the whole dog) peeking into the apartment if the sliding door is open and you're inside. Some of the host's four cats were also curious and wanted to come inside the guest unit but were easy to keep out and not bothersome.

Great location with amazing views and lovely swimming pool. Spacious comfortable room with big bathroom. Clean and tidy.

No aircon or mosquito netting.

The view was absolutely stunning. You can watch the sunset and the view of the stars in the night is also exceptional. Very friendly dog and cats, that came to visit us for breakfast on our terrace. Julie left fresh bananas and water for us in the fridge. We felt very welcome. Absolutely recommend!

The view and the pool here are amazing! That was the highlight of our stay getting to swim in the infinity pool while having a clear view of Mo'orea and the reef below. The owners met us to give us the keys and any help we needed. It's very close to Plage Vaiava which had the most amazing snorkeling.

Given location on the hillside, the view was stunning. We swam in the pool and watched people paragliding down the mountain. So cool.! We would stay there again. Accommodations were super clean and plenty of room. What a lovely place!!

The drive up was a bit "much" for our small manual transmission car. I was aware prior to our arrival. We would still stay at the accommodations again.

Location is breathtaking! Owners are exceptionally helpful and welcoming on arrival, but were very respectful of your privacy during our two night stay. Directions were great and detailed, since it is a little off the beaten path, but so worth the drive up the hill (on a very well maintained road).

get ready for spectacular views (the steep drive up is worth it). the room was spacious and kitchen very well equipped. wonderful host, including Madiba, the friendly dog. it was so nice to hop in the pool at the end of the day

The apt was very private and spacious, easy to get in and out of without feeling like we would bother anyone. The view is spectacular, the pool was awesome for an afternoon dip after a busy day, the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. We loved the full kitchen to make breakfast and dinner.

There isn't anything I would change, the whole experience was excellent.

This is a lovely unit with a great view, a wonderful pool & deck area to relax. I could have easily spent more days here just relaxing by the pool and enjoying the view. Kitchen area was well appointed for you to cook your own meals.

Not really a negative, but more a know before you book. The unit is up the mountain (thus the awesome view) so having a car would be highly recommended if you wanted to stay here.
