Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

An inconvenience was the lack of a sink in the water closet, which meant we couldn’t wash our hands if the shower room was occupied by other guests.
We had a pleasant 3-night stay in the Hibiscus room. It was clean and tidy—though a bit compact, it was still comfortable. All shared facilities were functional. The hosts and cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for having us!

The communication is very slow and the guests could miss opportunities. Very noisy, since it is at a main street.
The location is top. The self check-in. The host is very supportive.

No cuisine/ kitchen means you're at the mercy of second rate expensive takeaways and outrageously expensive restaurants!! Provide even the simplest of kitchen facilities to deserve recommendation! I had entoxicolagie alimentaire les deux temps en 5 jours!
What breakfast? There wasn't any.

I like everything. Tahitians are nice people and enjoy tourists.
It was a pleasure dealing with Christopher for my five night stay in Tahiti prior to my 18 day South Pacific cruise ship trip. I chose this location because I wanted to be able to go to the market and also walk to the cruise ship when I was scheduled to depart. It is a very safe and secure place. You have a code to put in the front gate and then you have a code to the second or third floor where your room is and then you have a code to get the key for your room. The room was just as it is in the picture, very tidy and clean. Fabienne came every day to sweep the floors and clean the bathrooms and wash the floors as well. She was a pleasure to deal with and a very, very nice lady. I was on the third floor and there was two other rooms and we shared a shower room and then a room with a toilet. It was not a problem as I hardly saw the other people because we were always in and out. The lock on my room didn’t lock the door, so Christopher could not give me another room because they were sold out that weekend, but he was very concerned and so was Fabienne. I was concerned about it, not locking, but I always felt that there was a lock on the third floor and also at the front gate. I called Christopher when I first got there to let him know that I couldn’t get Internet or lock the door and he said I will come over right away. He did come and unplugged the Internet and plugged it back in and it worked perfectly the whole time I was there. He did find me a room on the third night on the second floor, and it was larger and had a king size bed, and I was very pleased that he made the effort to make sure I was satisfactory taken care of. Fabienne took me downstairs and was very happy to show me the room that they had chosen for me and also a gentleman that was with her helping her clean offered to carry my clothes downstairs for me. Christopher also offered me some compensation for the inconvenience.

It said my room would have its own bathroom but it did not. The bathroom is shared and located across the room. It was clean and functional but it is not what I had booked. I double checked whether or not the room had a private bathroom, it said that it did, also in the confirmation. This bothered me quite a bit. There was too little time to ask for a different room (I only had one full day sandwiched in-between two short nights). Moreover, there was no easy way to contact the caretaker as it is just a room and communication is via booking.com (access code provided). Moreover, there was no wifi.
The room is clean, the bed comfortable, and it is quiet. The location is quite handy though not particularly exciting.

Entry to the property was by number pad had to remember codes to get in and out. Somewhat bothersome. The advert for this property said there was a private bathroom. This was not the case. It was shared with three other rooms/flats. There was no ventilation in bathroom made it very humid and odours lurked long after people had used it. I found several long black hairs on the floor to the room. Overall a bit grubby.

There is no elevator and heavy luggage has to be carried about 3 floors up.
The location is great, good internet and aircon in the room, shared toilet very clean.
