How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewClose to the water, the perfect island experience
Worst shower in the world 🙄
Ia Ora Na Sonja, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of the bungalow. Regarding the shower, we did experience low water pressure during that time due to maintenance work carried out by the water company in Moorea, which manages the municipal water supply. We contacted them about the issue, and it was resolved shortly afterward. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again on your next trip to our islands. Mauruuru The General Manager

Verified reviewLoved the location and our bungalow directly facing the sea.
The restaurant doesn't serve great food. The vibe isn't matching the bungalow style. Our shower was broken. And the fire alarm went off randomly at 2am.
Ia Ora Na Leboeuf, Thank you for taking the time to give us a feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of the bungalow and the view of the lagoon. Regarding your comment about the shower, we came to fix it as soon as you reported it to the front desk. The fire alarm was checked the following day and you haven't experienced another issue regarding this. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you for your next holidays, Mauruuru The General Manager

Ia Ora Na Karen, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, especially our restaurant and the friendliness of the staff. We are a 2-star hotel and there is no telephone in the rooms. Please note that all amenities are clearly listed on Booking.com. It was a real pleasure to welcome you, and we hope to have the chance to host you again in the near future. Warm regards, The general manager

Verified reviewThe location. It has a nice restaurant with beautiful views. It is next to the only beach with some sand on it. The beach is public but it is right next to the hotel.
We stayed on the first floor of the building, next to the bungalows. The building has no charm at all. In fact, our room led into a patio adjacent to the pool. This was a square with no plants, no flowers, so unlike the lush gardens we’ve seen everywhere. While it had a nice kitchenette, there was no TV, no hair drier and it would have been nice to have an umbrella in the patio.
Ia Ora Na Cecilia, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your stay. We are glad to read that you enjoyed the hotel's location and the restaurant. Regarding your comment about the air-conditioned room, please note that all amenities are clearly listed on Booking.com. There is a hair dryer in every single room, which located in the cupboard in the room. We also offer bungalows equipped with televisions. If that was your preference, all you needed to do was book that specific category. Your reservation was for our standard room category. Lastly, we are surprised to read that there were no plants on your terrace. On both sides, we have Butterfly pea growing along the façade, and there are large potted plants placed all around the swimming pool area as well as a Royal poinciana. We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again at hotel Hibiscus. Mauruuru The general manager

Grounds were not manicured nicely.. grass needed to be cut. I was excepting a little more fir $240 a night
Ia Orana, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and found our team to be friendly and welcoming. Regarding the grass, your visit coincided with an extended period of heavy rain, which lasted for couple of weeks. Unfortunately, due to the weather conditions, our professional gardeners were unable to carry out their usual maintenance, resulting in the grass being higher than usual. We’re pleased to inform you that the grass has since been cut, and our grounds are once again in their usual well-maintained condition. We are often complimented on the beauty of our gardens, and we appreciate your understanding. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back on your next trip to French Polynesia. Verified reviewAccomodation clean and pleasant. Valued the AC as weather was particularly hot and humid during my New Year stay. Staff very attentive. My room contained everything to meet my needs including a kitchenette. The food was good in the restaurant located within the complex which overlooked the lagoon and had fabulous sun set views.

Verified reviewClose to beach, restaurants, and shops. Clean and comfortable, kitchenette was great to have, equipped with everything we needed for our stay, friendly staff. It was nice to be able to hang out at the pool after check-out.
Bring your earplugs for the roosters (although this is not specific to this hotel)! Some of the rooms are close to the road. No air-conditioning but the fan was good enough for November.
Ia Orana, Thank you for your great feedback ! We are glad to read that you enjoyed our hotel and our friendly staff. About the roosters, we say here that it is the "Polynesian charm". We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you once again at our hotel for your next holidays ! Mauruuru and kind regards ! The General Manager

Verified reviewGood location Beachfront Restaurant location
No TV No windows, just patio doors, no fly screens Restaurant food was average Cocktails were hit or miss depending on who made them
Ia Orana Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the location of our hotel. Please note that you had reserved a double air conditioning room and that we upgraded you for free to a triple air conditioning room which is larger. You mention that there is no windows in the room but you have a bay front window that spans the entire width of the bedroom. You also have a private patio with a table and chairs. We do have bungalows with TV, this is our "Superior" category and it was available during your stay if you wanted to reserve it. It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy our restaurant despite our fresh selection of products and variety of cocktails. Mauruuru and kind regards The management

Verified reviewClose to shops and restaurants, but quite a long way from the port. Nice bungalow with deck overlooking the lagoon. They let us check in early, the guy at the front desk was helpful and booked a tour for us which was great as most things are closed on Saturday afternoon.
Pool was nice but very buggy. Not much of a beach, only access to it from the property is through the restaurant which closed in the afternoon so you had to go along the road to get to it.
