Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandWe had a wonderful time at Fare Bleu! There’s a beautiful lagoon right in front of the house, bicycles to explore the area, and above all, the host Emmanuelle, who is incredibly kind and helpful. We would definitely come back!

United KingdomThat I only was there for too short a time.
Everything. Emmanuelle, the host, is just the best. Right from before I arrived, she advised on getting to the place, the practicalities, the expectations. Then, she arranged for me to be met, taken to the quay, & met me at the other side to take me to the beautiful house, showing me, on the way, the way points to navigate to it. And what a beautiful house! Next to the lagoon, with wide verandahs to relax on. All the facilities you need. Kayaks, bicycles, snorkels, etc, all available for your use, freely. Lovely breakfasts arrive each morning. And dinner, by arrangement, should you wish. The house is airy & light, spacious & bright. I said it was my favourite place I'd stayed at on my extensive travels - & I meant it. I recommend Le Fare Bleu without hesitation.

SloveniaEmmanuelle is a wonderfully sweet, helpful, and friendly host! Before our stay, she sent us detailed information about transport, tours, dives, dining, and everything else we needed for a delightful experience. The best part of the accommodation is the spacious deck, where you can unwind on lounge chairs, a hammock, or at the table. Emmanuelle also arranged taxis to and from Tiputa Quay for us every day, making our stay effortless. Plus, she’s a fantastic cook—our dinners were delicious! The free kayaks were a fantastic bonus for exploring the beautiful lagoon, and the bikes made it easy to venture around the island. It was the perfect setting for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Highly recommended!

United KingdomClean and lovely accommodation. Great shared kitchen area, with filtered water (which was unexpected). The decking was the best part, lots of loungers and hammocks to relax on whilst looking out at the lagoon. The breakfast was generous and ideal to have available first thing in the morning. Emmanuelle is a great host, gave excellent details about how to get there and arranged taxis to and from the airport (plus the boat taxi which is a unique way to get to your accommodation!). She also very kindly rang some of the tour operators to help us arrange lagoon tours. The place is in a quiet remote area, which is lovely and peaceful. It’s 3km to the shop and pizzaria, which took us just short of 15mins to get there on the free bikes to use at the accommodation. The dog and two cats are very nice and well behaved. We loved this little peace of paradise.

United StatesI actually loved everything about the owner and the accommodations.
I loved everything about my stay at Le fare bleu!! Emmanuelle gave great communication/information prior to my trip, so I knew what to expect. The accommodations were spotlessly clean and quite comfortable. The beds have mosquito nets, and there is a fan in the room. The breezes were wonderful, so I did not use the fan at all. The common room is spacious, and the kitchen is stocked with all cookware. In addition to all this, Emmanuelle is such a kind, happy, beautiful Spirit who does everything she can to ensure that your stay is special!! There is superb snorkeling right in front of Le fare bleu, and Emmanuelle has snorkeling gear, as well as kayaks, and bicycles for use at no extra charge. The front porch is a nice place to relax when you are not busy. It is easy to arrange for off site activities if you desire. I can't wait to return for another stay at Emmanuelle's Le fare bleu!

AustriaWe spent 14 days at LE FARE BLEU and it was a dreamlike holiday. On one side the calm lagoon with the coconutpalms and these colours, you think this is a 180° screen, at the same time you can hear the waves of the ocean breaking on the reef. Together with the incredible sunset and the night sky breathtaking! When we did not enjoy the wonderful beach near by we snorkeled the rich marine life of the lagoon or walk on the oceans reef and look for beautiful mussels. We also took the kajak and the bikes for discoveries. Emanuelle is such a friendly host in a comfortable accommondation. She made us delicous breakfast and dinner. Her pets are so lovely. We will be back for sure!

United StatesNothing. It was great.
It is spacious and very clean. The ocean view is lovely. The front porch is an exceptionally nice place to hang out or eat. There is a full kitchen that is well equipped. She also has filtered water available for drinking, and did a great job arranging the airport transfer even after our flight got delayed until late at night. Most importantly, Emmanuelle is a remarkably sweet, helpful, and friendly host. Absolutely the best!

GreeceThere’s nothing I did not like.
The pension is new, clean and beautiful. It’s right in front of the beach, it has very comfy sun beds to sit and relax outside and a big table to enjoy the meals. The area is calm and simply wonderful and the lagoon in front is like a pool. We took the kayak twice and explored around (it’s free), and we also used the bicycles taking them with us to the other side via the taxi boat. There are small exotic fishes and even saw a couple of small sharks at dusk. Emanuelle is a lovely person and a great host. Chloe the dog is sweet and there are also 2 cute cats moving discreetly around. Emanuelle suggested us things to do, like a great excursion and helped me out a lot when I got an ear infection. I could not ask for more from a host. If you want to enjoy Rangiroa at your own pace, take in the beauty of the place and leave stress behind this is the place. Thank you for everything!

United StatesCome prepared with mosquito spray and you are okay. Come to enjoy the moment - you are on a tiny island that can sometimes lose electricity.
Out of the 8 islands we visited in French Polynesia - Emmanuelle is the most exceptional host! Before our stay she sent information about transport, tours, dives, food, everything we need to know to have a lovely stay. Her home faces ocean and trees with a huge deck where you can relax on lounge chairs, hammock and table. It's at the end of the road so it feels very private and quiet. Free kakays and bikes to visit close areas. We loved to bike down the more remote side of the island to swim in private pool lagoon! Everyday Emmanuelle asked us how we are and always had breakfast & coffee ready early. She gave gifts of clean drinking water and fruit from her garden (such a treat on a motu!) She also helped us arrange our tours. Thank you so much. We will stay again!

United StatesEmmanuel is very upfront about the things travelers need to be aware of when staying at Le Fare Bleu, so there were no negative surprises. She warned us mosquitos could be an issue in the evenings (very true), so we brought bug spay and she provided a mosquito net for the bed. She warned us that Le Fare Bleu is in a semi remote location on Tiputa and that we'd need to ride bikes to get to the wharf for transport to the main island (Our morning and evening bike rides were delightful). It was all part of the experience! But if you are looking for a luxury beach resort with air conditioning, 24-7 wait-staff and no bugs, this probably isn't the right place for you.
Emmanuel is incredibly vivacious and enthusiastic. She arranged our boat transport directly from the airport to Tiputa wharf where she picked us up in her car. Breakfasts and dinners on the porch were lovely and delicious, the space was beautiful, tranquil and right on the water. She lent us some delightfully rusty old bikes to get around the ilsand. Le Fare Bleu seems to be the only tourist accommodation on Tiputa, so we really felt like we got to experience a little slice of quiet island life, riding our bikes everywhere, snorkeling right outside the house and saying hello to all the neighborhood dogs. We loved everything about our stay and would go back again in a heartbeat.
