Shared bathrooms could use a bit more cleaning, especially the floors. Also didn't have soap in one of them. Our room had a bit of a damp smell.

Location is great for those taking the ferry. Many restaurants around. Provided baguette, cheese, peanut butter, jams for breakfast which was nice to include at this price point. A/c in the room worked well.

Not very clean. Shower doors showing signs of moisture retention - need replacing. Toilets and hand basin needed cleaning. Light at bunk didn't work. Nō privacy curtain on top bunk.

The lockers were fairly small with no locks. The curtains on bed did not go all the way around -- so my bed next to a window got a lot of streetlight/sun. The sleeping room is fairly crowded in general & you should most definitely bring shower shoes, shampoo, soap (for body AND for your hands after the bathroom).

Staff were quite friendly & check in was easy. Small store at base of hostel was useful. I saw them cleaning multiple times over our fairly short stay. Provided 'breakfast' is basically bread & jam & coffee, but was tasty nonetheless, with room to cook yourself if you wanted. The AC in the room worked decently when the door was closed. So did the wifi & outlets. Very simple, cheap accommodations.

Very thin walls, very very thin.....forget about privacy. Needs to work on cleaning the place more often and better.

Conveniently located 5 minutes from the ferry. There are restaurants and bars around. I had a small private room with no window. The AC worked well and the bed had some very comfortable cotton bedsheets. Breakfast starts very early wich is great, I could eat before boarding the early ferry. Bring your soap and shampoing. None is provided. For one night, it worked for me. I would stay again.

There is a rule of no walking anywhere with shoes, which would be fine, if the floors were kept clean. You can just imagine going barefoot to the toilet when there is dirt and pee in the floor. Also no soap for handwashing in the shared toilets, which is insane, nor shower gel in the common showers. So lets say hygiene is not great here. Also there are quite many stairs to climb if that is an issue for you or you have heavy luggage. Also if your room (we stayed in private room) is located next to the common area with sofas, you will hear people chatting till early morning even if wearing ear plugs.

Excellent location in the city, ferry terminal is 5min walk away, there are taxi stands and bus stops to get to the airport or around the island. Of course being in the city, all restaurants and shops and night life is also right next to you. AC was amazing, wifi as well.

This could easily be improved by a few easy adjustments : provide soap in the shower, make sure you can hang up the shower head and remove the hairs on the floor when cleaning Private room doesn’t have a window

Only one shower out of four had a rose/slide that worked. Showers were not always clean. Bunks not attached to the walls, so wobble considerably.

Compared to other countries customer service in French Polynesia is not great. Breakfast they service is not good. Just baguettes and jam. Hostel did not have great ventilation so it was a little smelly when I was there. Also, if you are in French Polynesia, I do not recommend staying in Papeete. There are much nicer places

I saw two instances of young cockroaches in the room and the hallway. Not a lot of space to place bags in the room, we had to leave them on the floor in the small space between the bed and the wall.

Cheap, well located, good enough breakfast of bread with jam, coffee, and some juice. Staff was friendly.

good place for transit, The double room is small but it has A/C and the whole property is clean, good shared bathroom. The shared fridge is not sufficient for everybody but we managed. The below little store is ok and non stop for quick necessities.

The stairs to the rooms and the door code. Another thing is, only two showers and toilets in each floor. Sometimes you have to wait longer if busy. No hooks or hangers inside the room. A small book stand to put some stuff and that’s it.

Great location in the center of Papeete close to the market and ferry terminal. Although the room is vacant, they don’t let you check in early unless you pay extra. I arrived early in the morning so I ask if I could used the wifi and sit outside but it didn’t work no connection at all. Nah I walk around and search for local SIM card. When I get back it was around 12 noon still have to wait one hour to get into my room. I booked a private room but shared bathroom. The room is not made for people with big suitcase. I don’t have problems because I’m a carryon traveler. The bathroom were clean with hot water. Breakfast was self service in the kitchen. Nothing fancy just baguettes with jams and cheese plus coffee and tea of course. Wifi works perfectly inside the room. The hostel office equipped with a small shop: drinks, snack and toiletries are available in case if you need them.
