fantastic black sand beachfront property! We had some great snorkelling with v good visibility. It was close enough to bus down to see the surf champs at Teahupo'o. 700metres away is a supermarket and a restaurant. Merci beaucoup.

    Location

The studio was in very poor condition, smelly, everything was rundown and ready for refurbishment. We only got two small towels which smelled badly? There was not possible to swim at the lodge’s beach due to very strong currents and shallow waters with corals. We booked for 8 days but moved out after 4 nights. The accommodation is totally overpriced.

The location is great for those who are looking for a good beach to watch the sunset. Possible to snorkel, the owner provides working masks. Very quiet, residential area. A/C was working, WiFi fast enough, kitchen with coffee machine, toaster, fridge. Pretty clean, besides bugs. The lodge itself is reasonably priced.

Very basic, camping like facility. It looks a lot fancier in photos here. One tiny towel per person, fleece blanket as a cover, no flat sheets. Bugs everywhere, no mesh screens. You WILL be bitten, despite sprays. We breakfasts was "included", but in reality free was only coffee, store bread and banana jam, everything else was for purchase. It was mentioned somewhere, but in all other places we stayed included meant everything, so don't assume. For dinner we had a salad and a huge bowl of chow main, based on the description we expected a lot more.

The lagoon was perfect. The water was crystal clear during our stay. The property feels very private and quiet. We ate dinner there 2 nights and both meals were exceptional. The dining area was busy one night, so Alexy served us our amazing dinner on our deck. Lovinia is an excellent cook and a champion surfer- we were in awe of her!😃 Alexy also gave us some good recommendations for places to explore nearby. Beautiful sunsets, and we even saw whales from the beach each day!

There are a few bugs, but that is to be expected here. Our house didn't have A.C. which didn't bother us- it was comfortable with fans going and the breeze. We didn't want to leave.

Lovina and Alexy are welcoming, friendly hosts. Lovina's a great cook - I highly recommend you have dinner at least once. Manomano's location on the beach is stunning. The bed was comfortable and the aircon made sleeping through the night easy.

I was very comfortable at Manomano. Some things are a little dated, but I didn't have a problem with it.

Incredible location right on the beach with the most amazing coral garden to explore. Alexy will take you on a tour to see the best bits of the reef where you can see schools of fish, sharks and turtles. Old school friendly hospitality. Something that is often lost in travel now was so refreshing to feel.

What an amazing place! I booked our stay based on a recommendation from a friend and it was even better than she described! The rooms are comfortable and there are delicious meals available on request. The location is spectacular. The reef out front is healthy and beautiful and the snorkeling was the best we had in Tahiti. There are great restaurants nearby and a good surf break nearby. Alexy has all kinds of snorkeling gear, kayaks, and boards available for rent. I would stay here again in a minute and can't wait to come back!

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. They checked on us often to make sure we had everything we needed, and to see if we needed any help or suggestions navigating the area. They also set up a 4X4 excursion to see the island, which was wonderful. There were also many activities to do without leaving the premisses. We were able to snorkel right from the beach. Tons of life in the lagoon area. The area was quiet and I felt very safe. Shopping and places to eat nearby. The food at the lodge was very tasty. This place far exceeded my expectations, and I plan to bring my whole family back to stay here.

    Property response:

Thanks you very much Amber! it will be a pleasure to host you and your family !

Everything was excellent. The owner welcomed us in a very warm and friendly manner, was always available, and provided us with every possible service. Additionally, we had dinner with him and his wife, which was an excellent experience. The food was of outstanding quality, all organic and fresh. The service was top-notch. The house was cozy, clean, and equipped with every amenity. He assisted us until the very end in an outstanding way. Highly recommended!

This was the best place we stayed in Tahiti. A very nice & friendly couple runs the place. You barely need to leave the grounds and so much more is close by. The black beach is your backyard with a coral garden beyond that. The Taharuu Surfspot is just down the street. You could probably walk there if you wanted. The Water Gardens Vaipahi is not far to the east. And there's a few hiking trails not far as well. A grocery store is where you turn off the main road with the best fish market just a couple doors down from that. You have a full kitchen, but they will make you an amazing homemade breakfast or dinner as well. They also offer laundry service for a reasonable price. That saved us in the middle of our 2½ week trip from trying to find where we could do it. We didn't want to leave.

The only thing I would have liked to see would be A/C. The loft can get pretty hot at night, but opening the roof window and the fan made it manageable. But it sounds like he is working on getting that installed. So, my next stay may have to be moved to a 10.

    Property response:

Hi, we have now a fiber internet connection, with 90MB/S ! and the companie is working on fixing Big Air conditionner with 15000BTU ! thanks you and see you soon. best regards

The beach is great, amazing snorkeling right off the shore, one of the best we experienced on both Moorea and Tahiti. Lovely and quite property, Alexy was very nice. Also appreciated the outdoor hose/shower to wash off the salt and sand, very convenient.

Lots of mosquitoes and spirals aren’t allowed

    Property response:

Thanks you very much Alisa. Just for let know futur guest that spiral are not allowed inside due to the risk of fire, but there is electric plug repellent and fans available on the bungalow. Best regards Alexy and Lovina

The hosts were amazing!!! The hospitality was second to none. The breakfast was great and the local cuisine dinner was definitely one of the best meals I had during my 1 week trip to French Polynesia.

Internet was a bit on the slow side (but that was typical at most places visited). It would be nice to have screened windows since it's a tropical country.
