Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandEasy walk to Maharepa, the island's township. Lots of eateries and restaurants 2 to 15 mins walk nearby, and local supermarket. Great spot, nice and friendly staff. Nice garden room, looked refurbished and we love the scent of the Manava body lotion (Tahitian Tiaré). With all the shower gel, liquid soap and shampoo smelling amazing. Very nice sunsets and beautiful location, there's a wharf right next to the Resort that is handy if you need pickup and drop off for various boat activities on Mo'orea. Happy hour daily from 5 to 7 pm during our stay. Traditional shows every Wednesday and Saturday with a buffet, if you want dinner with it. First in first served tables at the front, but there's plenty of room.

SwedenWe had a leeking wc but that was no biggi. It was a bit pricey.
The setting by the sea, the facilities, the service, the cold wet towels they gave us when we arrived and the sweet gift when we left.

Beautiful location. We took an overwater bungalow & it was exquisite (albeit costly) - the epic sunsets on the balcony were superb

New ZealandThe beds and pillows are probably due for an upgrade.
We stayed in the premium overwater bungalow which was incredible and then the beach bungalow which was equally amazing. The location is perfect and in walking distance shops and restaurants / bars (go to Moorea beach club and Maitai). The pool area is also great and staff are super helpful with plenty of small unexpected touches. Can highly recommend doing a lagoon snorkeling tour with lunch and hiring e-bikes for the day and stopping for lunch at Snack Mahana. The water isn’t was blue as at the Hilton / Sofitel but it is beautiful. If you want an overwater bungalow pay for the premium one, the lagoon facing bungalows are shallow. We cannot recommend the beach bungalow highly enough though.

United StatesTropical drinks were very expensive.
We loved our BEACH bungalow with a beautiful water view. The outside deck and beach both had lounge chairs. The bungalow was spacious and private. We definately made the right choice of beach vs over the water bungalow.. The resort is large and well laid out. The breakfast was excellent and restaurants very nice. The infinity pool had pretty views. We did visit the Hilton for lunch and were happy we chose Manava Beach. The pictures do not show how beautiful the resort it. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

United StatesOverwater rooms 401 and 402 are very noisy, located right at public beach and scuba divers. I suggest not ever renting those rooms - maybe use them for photos and private dinner parties. Kids and tour boats are right under you there. Fortunately the very nice manager changed us to a quieter, absolutely delightful room. Thank you. Many of us arrived before rooms were available. Please have the beach bar open for food and drink earlier than 11:30 Add an area for changing clothes beside little restroom. Many were opening suitcases and changes into bathing suits in the lobby - not cool, not how you want your lovely hotel to look

New ZealandBeach oom location was quite noisy - all day and at night - garden room location was quieter
I actually like the garden room best - the view from the beach view room was only of the water bungalows and though the noise of the sea was nice during the day, we had to keep the windows shut at night and so couldn't hear it then. The garden room was nice and private with it's own little pool

FranceRestaurant a bit expensive. Better to simply get out of the hotel and have meals in restaurants right outside of the hotel
Beautiful hotel, right in front of the lagoon. Great service and customer experience. Great for couples and/or families? Much better value for the money than competing American hotel chains in Moorea.

MaltaThis didnt ultimately feel like the most honeymoon vibe to our holiday. We had more exclusive locations and for Manava's price, we probably could have gone for a cheaper options as we didnt feel like we got much of A Honeymoon treatment. The gym is equipped with only cardio machines (they could do with investing in some weights and a bench for those fancying a bit more than a walk or a run in their workouts). The rooms are a little dated and could do with a little Tender, Love and Care.
The pool is wonderful and so is the location. The staff are very different to other Polynesian Islands. Here you will find more English speaking staff. it is clear that this hotel is catered to many foreigners and vacation go-ers. We stayed in the beach bungalow enjoyed being the last one on site for a bit more privacy and exclusivity. Breakfast was very very very good compared to some other hotels we've stayed in. View of sunrise and sunset is pretty spectacular. Hotel could do with having more access to transportation, especially to those arriving to the island for the first time, although once you are checked in, they are good at organizing one from the hotel to places you need to go to.

CanadaThe menu at the restaurant never changes. If breakfast isn't included with your room it is VERY expensive for a buffet. An a la carte menu would be nice for someone who doesn't need a large breakfast. We went off the resort and had breakfast and other meals elsewhere.
The pool area was lovely and there were always lounge chairs and shade available.
