Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandA couple more coffee mugs would be great. Better signage at roadside would be helpful. .
Convient location close to the ferry. Kiki the host is delightful and helpful. Room was spotless and comfortable. Having the shared kitchen was great. Kiki even gave us a delicious papaya 😊 Located close to the general store and pizza restaurant. While the view is of the yard it didn't trouble me not to overlook a beach. The cat loved cuddles and being petted.

FinlandThe mattress is tiny bid hard but to be fair still had a good sleep.
It’s 10-15min walk from the ferry, supermarkets, street food stalls, pizzeria and car/scooter rentals also just behind the corner! The outside common kitchen is super clean and has everything you’ll need. Wifi is fast, AC cools well, we got extra blankets on request; Kiki and the rest are very amazing hosts. Payment in cash, local currency or USD which also worked well for us not having to exchange money.

United StatesReally my only complaint is that my bed was a little stiff on my back. Other than that everything was solid. 🤙🏽
Wonderful location a short walk from the ferry / port, easy to find off main road, quiet in the evening, near to food trucks and a good restaurant. Room was ready for me earlier than expected and Kiki (Host) allowed me to self check in way earlier than the scheduled time.

CanadaFantastic location! Minutes from the ferry. We took a taxi but easily could have walked Kiki is amazing 👏 made sure everything was in order even though we didn't see it happen! We only got to officially meet Kiki in person on our last day. However, they were beyond helpful to aid us in dropping off our rental car then taking us to ferry. We learned that Kiki built this lodge during the quiet Covid times...great job, excellent concept! I loved the separate room and bathroom yet shared kitchen with other international guests! What a way to meet new friends! I will share this location with my Canadian 🇨🇦friends. Thank you Kiki!

AustraliaNothing. I knew what to expect when staying in pensions and lodges.
This is a quiet , quirky lodge in Polynesian style. It suited me perfectly. I don't like resorts and hotels. I could prepare meals in the outdoor kitchen. It was close to shops and ferries and in a quiet, non- touristy part of Moorea. Clean, comfortable and safe. It was easy to arrange pickup for excursions and a short walk from the ferry. Only three rooms. Most of the other guests were Tahitien. The owner is delightful and very helpful. Not if you want luxury, but excellent if you want to understand daily life and culture and meet a range of locals. Great value if you are on a budget or if you prefer to spend your money on experiences rather than fancy sleeping arrangements and swimming pools. And Moorea is too beautiful to hang around in hotels.

AustraliaI always compare where I stay versus the price I pay. The price for this place is very fair. Therefore don’t expect to get the things you did not pay for such as air conditioning which this place does not have (I knew about it in advance). For me the fan was not enough as it got really hot even at night. This was the only inconvenience but as stated this was mentioned before I booked (no air conditioning). The location is great, within walking distance to the ferry and also within walking distance to what is probably the largest supermarket on the island. Also within walking distance to an ATM (near the ferry dock). The place is clean, the common cooking kitchen had lots of utensils, has a BBQ and a very nice and solid outside table. It’s a bit hard to find from the road, just know it’s next to Vaiare Pizza and then you’re basically there. No fridge in the room but plenty of space in the fridge in the common area/kitchen (freezer also). Would I stay again? I definitely would but my wife said for her she would need an air conditioning room next time.

United KingdomThere was no air conditioning apart from a fan and the outside temperature went up to 30 degrees. There is nothing to do in Vaiare. I located there to be near the ferry. There is a lack of restaurants, apart from the Pizza restaurant near the Lodge which was busy on a Friday night. I didn't find out what other evenings it is open. I'm not able to hire a car or scooter and found the lack of transport very restrictive here. (I was told not to bother with the bus.) It was difficult to book a tour for one due to lack of demand.
The apartment is attractive consisting of a bed room with comfortable bed and modern shower/toilet located behind the bedroom. There are plenty of shelves and hanging space for clothes. The three apartments are attractively located in a courtyard with a shared open kitchen and gardens around. It is well off the main road. It is 10 minutes walk from the port. The owner is very helpful and friendly and gave me a lift to the port for the ferry. The local type of housing and cooling by fan give you a more authentic Polynesian living experience than staying in a hotel. You can cater for yourself using the kitchen. In Vaiare are two small food stores and a big supermarket. In the evening some mobile food vans appear in the village.
