Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandThe building, particularly the bathrooms and kitchen, were getting a bit tired and could do with refurbishment.
We booked a Two-Bedroom Chalet, which was great for our group of two families (7 adults). The A-frame style building is a whimsical design featuring timber in its original tree branch shapes. A loft room upstairs accessed by a steep stairway featuring the tree branch timber. The open-sided verandah dining area was a pleasant location. The chalet had fans for cooling and mosquito nets over some of the double beds. A laundry with a front-loading washing machine was very useful. Hosts were welcoming and friendly.

United Statesbathroom facilities a bit dated and moderately clean. plenty of showers but a little short on commode spaces. If all the rooms had been rented while we were there, there would have been a line!
Nice hostel -style accommodation in a beautiful location. Very helpful in arranging local excursions and finding sites to visit.

United KingdomI am very susceptible to mosquito bites and the shady garden location of the property endured there was a plentiful population of vicious insects. If you are not bothered by mosquitos this comment is totally irrelevant. The breakfast was a bit small for the price.
It is easily accessible from the airport and on the main road round the island. The rooms are large and spacious scrupulously clean. The shared kitchen, toilets and showers are also kept scrupulously clean. There are self-catering kitchen facilities. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful fetching dinner from various take-aways. Portions are massive and would easily feed 2. Despite the slightly disappointing breakfast it does include wonderful home-made vanilla yoghurt - real vanilla, a delight. If I had known about the details of the Excursion Bleu day trip by boat round Tama’a I would have done that. It looked really interesting. I would recommend trying that. It is run by the same family.

United StatesFrom the photos I thought I was gonna get my own little cabana, and I did not expect to be in a shared cabana. I had my own room, but the walls are like paper so no privacy. Also, it was smelling moldy and humid inside
The excursion bleu was the highlight of our stay. Very convenient because they offer food for dinner too, if you decide to not rent a car or scooter or if you’re too lazy to get out and get your food yourself. The staff is incredibly sweet and the love talk and share thoughts and advice. The dogs and cats on the property are super cute.

NetherlandsThere's nothing much to do in the neighborhood, no beaches (but the host will help you arrange acitivities). The rooms are next to a road which is a little noisy. Breakfast is a little overpriced.
Friendly host, very punctual and helpful. Proper administration. Ability to order food from local snacks & foodtrucks. Large shared kitchen and relaxing space. Warm showers (not a given in french Polynesia), good wifi.

SingaporeNothing, all positive!
Bruno was absolutely fantastic. Such a happy and welcoming host. He drove me to the shop as soon as I arrived since I had to buy some food before it closed. The excursion he organised of the lagoon is the best one I have done in French Polynesia. The bed is also the best I had slept in during my month-long trip. The kitchen is big, clean and has all necessary instruments for cooking.

Germanymosquitos ..take repellent ! But that's Tahiti:)
The staff is so incredibly friendly and my stay was a real pure Tahitian experience. Raiatea is totally different from Papete - it is the real Tahiti, I was stunned by the nature and by the wonderful people of that island. Raiatea was my personal favourite island of all Tahitian islands because it was still very authentic and the flora and fauna was stunning! A lot to see also because it is the birthplace of the Polynesian cultures why I think I is a must see in any way. You could basically pick any fruits you wish in the garden around the lodge. Starfruits, Coconuts and other tropical delights were all growing around you and you can self pick them. The lodge was located near river and a 10 minutes drive to the city. There were also some bikes one could use. They were a bit old, but enough to explore the surroundings with ! Car is the best to explore the island. Loved the location right in the middle of nature, it was a real pure Tahitian experience! Thank you so much !

United StatesBefore I finalized booking, I asked the staff at the property if the room that I had reserved had air conditioning (AC) but they ignored my question. When I come to the property, they revealed to me that none of the room have AC. The temperature in the room will reach 94 degree Fahrenheit because it have no AC. With the fan turned on, the temperature will come down to 88 degree Fahrenheit; but still that is very hot. If you can't endure the heat then don't book here.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They gave me free transport from and to the boat dock without charge. Bruno give me a ride to the grocery store when they go into town. Cyrille helped me with changing my booking. Patrick cut down fresh coconuts for me to drink.
