Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWe are glad we had a can of raid. There were a LOT of ants. We had to ask them to clean the shower. As there was a half of a bar of soap on the floor and the drain was full of hair.
The location was good. We rented a car so that made it so much better. Otherwise it was have been hard to get to things and we would have needed a taxi multiple times. We did not eat there so I can’t comment on the food. It was have been nice if they had a menu board for the options as the food was only available at very limited times each day. We opt to just eat elsewhere. We definitely suggest spending the day at Coco Beach but make sure to make a reservation.

New ZealandThe shower was quite broken, and I didn't raise this with the management as ours was a short stay. The only other downside for us was the lack of a kettle. They charge 200 xpf for a cup of hot water. Sounds crazy, but if I were staying a week or more, I'd bring my own kettle. The fridge was useful however. No fan but you don't need it with the beautiful sea breeze. Don't expect five stats here, but it's fine just as it is.
A special spot in a beautiful location. We enjoyed two nights in a lagoon front bungalow, which are very good value for Moorea. I'm so glad I booked despite the many negative reviews. The views are exceptional. The staff and owners were kind. I was so grateful they allowed us to check in 4 hours early at 8am, when my young daughter and I arrived drenched from the ferry. Guests had just left, and they readied the space for us right away. I so appreciated this. Sure, the place overall could do with some TLC, but from my perspective the positives of this place we'll outweigh that. We were in the last of the three lagoon front bungalows, and this is definitely the sweet spot, with good privacy and no other guests walking in front of your deck. I think the expectations of some other guests may have been too high. For the price range and location, I'd say this would be hard to beat.

AustraliaThe host is not so friendly toward English Speakers. The Bungalow which we stayed is closed to the boarding house upstairs of the reception, is pretty noisy. The place is not well maintained, pretty dirty particular in the bathroom.
Big bungalow with a big bed.

United StatesThe "cabin" was rustic and there were no screens on the windows or the doors. A mosquito net was provided and insects did not prove to be a problem during our February stay. I can't say we didn't like or expect this but I think it is good for guests to know as a means of managing expectations. We would have appreciated having a hot plate or an electric kettle to prepare our own coffee/tea or small meals. There are two road side restaurants within walking distance. There is also a full service restaurant on the property which we found mediocre. For us, renting a car was essential to get to beaches and hiknig trails and town. The heat was intense and the road to "everywhere" is paved and relatively unshaded making walking distances over a mile a sweaty push.
The location, right on the water, was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. The property and the Island felt very safe and we enjoyed keeping the sliding doors wide open while we slept.

United StatesThe communication is very limited between us English speaking guests and the people who attend to the property. I had messaged in the booking.com app several times regarding the property with no response. The rooms did not have air conditioning units, which I didn't realize when i booked the room; however, the ocean view room with the windows and sliding door open was cool enough to sleep comfortably. They have a mosquito net and it worked very well without feeling claustrophobic.
This property has a fantastic location on the island. We were able to go to many restaurants and beaches with a scooter rental. The view from the room was breathtaking and I enjoyed having an evening cocktail on our own patio.

AustraliaOwners not very friendly nor accommodating ( every request was refused, even just a couple of glasses for our drinks). Dorm gets really hot during the day, however was ok at night in October. No fridge or cooking facilities for dorm guests. Tap water apparently not drinkable. Dorm floor moves and creaks so beds move every time someone gets passed. Bathroom facilities for dorm are very basic and old. ( nothing to hold shower head, toilets often don’t flush properly, nowhere to hang or put towel and clothes (only on toilet seat!). No soap or hand towel even for basin. Locking system a bit broken as well. Rats near restaurant area.
Quiet relaxing spot by the sea. Cute pontoon. Good place to meet other travellers. Breakfast was nice.

United StatesEverything was acceptable, but if I need to find issues with the 19-bed dorm, it was the few fans they had available. There were 4-5 fans for the entire place. Luckily, we there were only 8 guests when I stayed. Some guests said the mattresses were thin, but I had no problems wtih them. The fans were dusty and rusty. The bathrooms had spider webs in the ceilings. There was no hand soap, so I left a bar of soap in the bathroom. I heard arguing due to the owners strict policy of paying right away after consuming food at his restaurant. They have a rule that you cannot eat at the restaurant tables, so the only place to eat is on the dock's picnic table. There were no refrigerator or freezer for your own food. There were no lockers to store your belongings, but apparently it's safe here. Of all these things, probably the only thing I didn't like was the street traffic outside at night. I would return again since I hope these things will be improved the next time I come.
I liked the view each morning as I looked over the lagoon. It has a dock to enter the water for swimming & snorkeling. I liked the fans in the room to ward off the mosquitos. Price was advertised at XPF 3060 cash or credit ($27). Breakfast was included for dorm guests (baguette, jam, butter, coffee or hot chocolate, pineapple, papaya, and choice of fruit juice). I slept comfortably at night and no mosquitos bit me. The showers have hot water. One shower has a place holder while the other one, you need to hold it while taking a shower.

United StatesIf staying in the upstairs dorm, you will find low ceilings and two very dirty bathrooms to accommodate up to 15 guests. (I hear the 4 person cottages are the way to go here, but they were unavailable during my days of stay). Not enough electrical outlets for all the people. The owner has not put any money into fixing dorm light fixtures or in cleaning of the room fans or bathrooms. It just shows a lack of basic care that should be an embarrassment to any hotelier.

HungaryThe dormitory room has some open walls, thus you can hear everything that is going on nearby. With earplugs we slept really good and even appreciated the fresh after-rain air, but it could be problematic for a light sleeper.
We booked places in the dormitory room, which was very simple, but good. Beds were clean, bathroom was really old and sometimes smelled a little, but otherwise it was also clean. Dinner in the restaurant was really good, for a reasonable price. Breakfast is simple, but we were happy with it before the morning flight. + kudos for having Hinano beer on tap

United KingdomBathroom was not that clean. The main reception lady is rude and unhelpful. Reception is only opened for a few hours in the morning and the evening. I understand the staff wanting to have a break in between however we had an issue where we had forgotten a few things we needed in the dive shop. We tried to use our phone to call the dive shop but were unable to. I went to ask if we could use their phone , it was about 3pm. Solange was watching tv. She ignored me. I tried to explain what my issue was but without even turning around talk to me she continued to lay in her bed watching the tv and said the reception would reopen at 6pm which was too late to contact the dive shop. This could have been any more urgent issue and she still would have ignored me as she didn’t even want to listen. It was bizarre! A shame as the property has great potential. There is a small Jetty which could be gorgeous but it needs a huge repair job. Wifi was very good. Didn’t try the food but the onsite restaurant seemed nice.
Location by lagoon, the main room in the bungalow was nice and it was lovely to see the water from the bed.

New ZealandThe staff was slightly rude when we asked for a spoon and they declined, which we felt ridiculous when you are staying in the accomodation for 5 days. There were not many ammenities besides a mini fridge. The light inside the cabines is definitely not enough. In general some small repairs could be done. These are all minor things for the value in general
As everyone mention on the comments the location is amazing. You can see plenty of fish and we even saw sting rays from the shore. You can also snorkel and use the kayak for free. One of the best beds I've slept in.
