AustraliaFor the last afternoon/ early evening, and following morning very loud construction noise. Did not sound like minor repairs but complete reconstruction work being done. Unable to contact reception by phone. After complaining in person, noise stopped.

New ZealandTired looking cushions on comfy chairs in reception area would benefit from 10 minutes of a needle and thread where threads had unraveled. I suspect the spa would be used if the prices weren't so out of reach for majority of guests.

RomaniaSurprisingly, breakfast was really subpar. And while the location is great on the beach, you need a car or taxi to go anywhere (not a problem, just be aware that taxis also take about 20 min to get there too).
The location on the beach was great, black sand and calm water. Rooms were large and clean, and the staff was very nice. The fish dishes at dinner were delicious. And last but not least, a quite friendly cat that likes to hang out at the reception area!

Great room, The building 0 is newer than the rest of the buildings and the rooms are very nice. Spacious and beautifully decorated. Also, there is reusable water bottles, great initiative to cut on plastic water bottles.

New ZealandI had tried to learn basic French for the trip, but I had expected the staff to be able to understand English. This often wasn't the case, and it caused a couple of issues. There was no shops within walking distance & everything at the resort was very overpriced, for example I bought an adaptor that the lady assured me would work for NZ plugs, it didn't, but I'm pleased to say they refunded. But when I went to town, I bought an adaptor for a quarter the hotel charged. The food in general was ok but not great .... when I ordered a BLT, it had ham not bacon, no tomato but did have a fried egg :( The room was advertised to have a functional kitchenette, but they had just refurbed a balcony ... there was not appropriate lighting to cook by & not the pots, utensils or condiments you would expect from a normal motel.
I had requested a quiet room, which was given. Having a washing machine was great :)

United StatesFront desk trainee was very sweet, but didn't know what amenities were in the room. Hotel is some distance from Papeete, which some may prefer.
The room was spacious and well kept with a lovely balcony and comfy beds. The pool is lovely, but needs some deferred maintenance attended to (missing tiles, chipped concrete). The "hot tub" definitely needs attention. In general, the staff couldn't have been nicer. Balcony and kitchenette were great, but a little confused about why no corkscrew provided in the kitchen.

CanadaThe room appeared clean until you walked across the floor in bare feet or with socks on. When you looked at your feet they were very dirty. Only some garbage removed from room. The most important one was in the kitchen and it was not removed at all. Towels were taken but not returned.

AustraliaThe windows probably need some sound proofing, the waves were very loud at times. The pool area probably needs a tidy and freshen up. The angle grinder fixing the deck whilst I was by the pool wasn’t very relaxing. Waitresses were all so lovely but service was slow.
A 20-25 minute drive to the airport, rooms were spacious with plenty of room. Rooms were modern and nicely designed.

United StatesDining always seemed a little disorganized. Had to go to front reception to get/return pool towels so that seemed odd.
Last minute stay with discounted rate, free parking/wifi, received a good sized room, but had a bad non-view even with an "Oceanview" booking but we were too tired to care. Reception, housekeeping and porters were exceptional. Dinners were good, breakfast buffet was okay, but ample choices. Egg station lady was always smiling, a hard worker, so pleasant and all by herself. Would return if we had a good rate again.
